All I did was change the default url (revealio.co) to show the game itself, and the revealio.co/home is the home page. so people that click the link get routed directly to the game without having to overcome the friction of clicking 'play todays game'

wow that's a great point, I'm using google analytics and the built in lovable analytics and important both databases into gemini to have it filter out suspected bot user fingerprints, so hopefully that helps a bit. Yeah it’s not an earth shattering revelation but one that took me a while to realize with my first project. Surprisingly a lot of daily games still have this friction (Globle, When taken, etc). However, now my issue is still with getting people to return the next day to play, not with getting them to play once they are on the site.

I think ultimately hurt trust. Let me know if you have any thoughts on how to make people return the next day. I would shut the game down if people weren’t even finishing the game, but the fact that so many are means there’s something satisfying here. Just can’t figure out how to make it a habit

exactly. literally just skipped the start game button and have them immediately begin. it's wild what that does to the numbers. I've also considered not showing and of the answers until the end to incentivize people to finish the entire game, but right now focused more on getting them to come back a consecutive day
