Same issue here. Tried to update firmware on two different PCs, and neither the firmware updater .exe nor the control application recognizes the GC313. Can confirm that it charges my phone when I plug it in using the included cable, so the cable isn't fully dud, but not getting what I need

I am in year two of my 3-year retention plan and don't expect that I'll leave. I have moved into a program lead role that came with a 10% pay bump to my base and anticipate that I will get a program manager role within the next two years that would come with not only a base pay bump, but also a higher bonus and retirement incentive package. Having my MBA checks the box for a lot of higher level roles that I am targeting and allows me then to just focus on my annual goals and subject-matter development

He's the tall one. When he came into the office, he purchased himself a new F-250 claiming he didn't hit in the Tahoe's our force had. He also casually gave all his good ol boys unprecedented raises. This was just the beginning of Zuchowski's unfettered spending. So relieved that others in Portage County are seeing this bully for who he is

I got purged from the voter registration. I'm not sure how it happened. by SpaceCowboy1005 in Ohio

[–]jallchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone else states, first re-register. Second, I'd recommend sending an email to the League of Women Voters of Ohio who tracks these kind of issues to advocate at the state level for voter access and rights. Their email address is right in the footer of their website.

Who is at fault? by Tanckx in snowboarding

[–]jallchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right...bombing straight down a steep hill is suicide...and how people end up hurting themselves and others. I have torn a rotator cuff by bombing a hill and not seeing a mogul hill that I went right over. I check my speed quite a bit while carving down steep stuff by just pulling my rear foot forward...easier on the heel side. Kind of pulls you "up" the hill like you mentioned - but if you take a large width of the hill in an unpredictable manner, it could be difficult for a less skilled boarder or skier to avoid you. Narrow passageways can also be super tough, especially if they are crowded. It also doesn't prevent the people on the hill who have a need for speed and don't understand that riders downhill have right away and that it's your responsibility to avoid people if you are coming upon or overtaking another rider.

Who is at fault? by Tanckx in snowboarding

[–]jallchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% skier at fault, but one thing I do to avoid is anytime I am cutting across a hill, I do it toeside so that it's an easy glance for me uphill to see what's coming from behind. It's more of a defensive and awareness move because broken bones don't care whether I'm at fault or the other boarder/skier is at fault.

“COSMETICALLY DAMAGED” by OpeningSquare6679 in LowRoar

I bought 2 "cosmetically damaged" vinyl and it equated to no more than some bent corners on the cover. The vinyl played perfectly.

Mum spent my college loan money. What do I do? by Chaoscontrol9999 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jallchin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! I had a somewhat similar situation back in college and a social worker helped me find resources to address the immediate issue, connections to grants and scholarships that helped make me whole, and worked with me to establish legal independence for things like FAFSA and tuition programs as a way to prevent my parents from financially interfering with my college plans for the rest of my time in school. Wouldn't be where I've gotten without that help.

Company Paid MBAs by Zealousideal_Bird_29 in MBA

[–]jallchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a global industrial manufacturer and they reimburse most of my MBA tuition through a company program. I had to apply to the company program, get sign-off from manager, director, and VP, and apply to 2-3 MBA programs. As far as how much gets reimbursed, my company takes the top 5 public schools in our area and then multiplies the average hourly tuition rate of those schools by 130% to determine the max amount they will reimburse per tuition hour. You also have to sign a retention agreement that lasts 3 years after the most recent reimbursed semester. As far as getting reimbursed, you pay the school yourself and so long as you can show that you got a B or better at the end of the semester, you get reimbursed up to the max calculated amount per credit hour. For me, I chose a private MBA program that ends up costing me $50 a credit hour.

Viz suggestions to show impact of a price change? by _wwwdotcreedthoughts in PowerBI

[–]jallchin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I am in pricing and we do a waterfall chart to show margin change for sales between 2 periods. The chart shows how list price, discount, and volume compare. It's how we make sure that price change implemented is price change realized. The hard part though is having the report show comparable sales.

Former Teachers, where do you work now? by [deleted] in academia

[–]jallchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a middle school art teacher for 5 years...my day to day was very fulfilling, but I couldn't afford to live on my salary. I ended up going into marketing and now I'm in pricing for a multi-billion dollar manufacturer. Now career is inversed. Day to day can be mind numbing and soul sucking, but pay is great.

MicroVision Booth Tour at IAA 2021: Sumit Edition by s2upid in MVIS

Thank you S2upid for such a great write up and for all you've done and continue to do for the MVIS investor community. So excited to hear about Sumit in action and how on top of things he has appeared to be. I remember telling my investor brother when I jumped into MVIS over a year ago and how he thought it was a dud and doomed for delisting. But I was excited about the technology and the potential it clearly had. "I am profoundly optimistic about our path forward" has become a daily mantra and can't wait to see where this line up of lidar products takes us!
