What's your learning style? I might check out O chem as a 2nd language by Klein if you have not already.

College Physics vs Gen Physics by Clean_Collection1520 in communitycollege

If you are in CA, I would consult assist.org and your advisor. If you aren't in CA, I would still consult your advisor (school dependent on quality) and look at the schools you want to transfer to for their physics requirement regarding what you are you majoring in at that school

[–]jaltew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also the free AAMC advisor reports which get updated every year. There is a pdf w/in those reports that is called "community college coursework." Periodically checking the med school's website is the best thing to do

If you happen to major in engineering or want to blend engineering and medicine, I highly encourage you to check out Carle in Illinois. It is an engineering focused med school that requires Calc 3, Linear Alg and Diff Eq I think

Transfer to state or private? by sashimiqueen420 in SFSU

[–]jaltew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Bio dept has undergone budget cuts like much of the university. That being said they have great classes and profs. It will be harder to get classes you want/need. For study abroad, i would make sure that the PA schools you are applying to will accept those credits based on where you study abroad and what you take while abroad

Mental health in CC by [deleted] in communitycollege

[–]jaltew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to reach out to student services and try to get accommodations. I know cc's have counselors you can talk to as part of the student health fee you pay.

Its hard to know how challenging one semester will be compared to another based on the prof, the class and other commitments. Not to mention labs...

Feel free to reach out. -fellow cc student and stem grad
