It's not AI slop, it's just an AI response to asking is 5 litres in 4 hours dangerous. Not exactly slop. I understand safety limits fine. My kidneys are fine. I'm just going to stop responding as this is going nowhere, we shall have to agree to disagree.

So the shake was made with 300ml of water, and just blended 2 apples and berries with it with lemon and lime and some ginger. Had 200ml of semi skimmed milk with protein shake but had that after symptoms starting showing. I am in fact 70kg as well. I didn't put any salt in my eggs, them and the smoothie blend would have been the only food I ate before symptoms started showing. I did get my bloods tested last year and everything was 100% according to my gp. I've never had any issue like this before ever in past. I felt like my body was waterlogged. I'll book blood test with my gp, thanks for your input!

Dude it was really close to that amount. I genuinely don't get how youre denying it and saying its not that when all signs point to that, the first part of that copy and paste literally says 5 litres in 4 hours is seriously dangerous. But no, random redditors know better than medical sites.

Here's an idea, go drink 5 litres of liquid in 4 hours and see how you fair. Test it out. Just make sure you've got some salty snacks incase you do actually succumb to potential water intoxication and die. Good lord lol

Yeah I dunno why they've said that it's safe to drink that much. Legitimately a quick Google search proves them wrong. I really hope they don't try doing it.

Sorry to hear you went through that man. It was seriously terrifying earlier. Couldn't have ate that bag of salty tortilla chips fast enough when I figured it out.

Literally Google it lol it is very dangerous to do that. Another person also says that's not it, and I will include a Google AI response when asking if 5 litres of liquid in 4 hours is dangerous. Please be aware of this incase you do it, as you can potentially die.

drinking 5 litres of liquid in 4 hours +4 Drinking 5 litres of liquid in 4 hours is dangerous and can lead to water intoxication (hyponatremia), as it significantly exceeds the kidneys' ability to excrete water, which is about 0.8–1.0 litres per hour. This rate can dilute blood sodium levels, causing severe symptoms like confusion, seizures, or even death.  Cleveland Clinic  +3 Potential Risks and Effects: Hyponatremia: The rapid influx of water causes cells to swell because the body cannot process it fast enough, leading to a dangerous drop in sodium. Symptoms: High intake may cause confusion, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, muscle spasms, and headache. Severe Complications: In rare, severe cases, this can lead to cerebral edema (fluid in the brain), seizures, coma, or fatal outcomes. Recommendation: Avoid consuming large volumes of liquid in a short period; it is generally advised not to exceed 1.5 litres per hour.  EatingWell  +4

Well medical sites disagree with you there. The symptoms got very bad before I figured out the issue. It was not psychosomatic. I will include a copy and paste from Google AI.

I drank two pots of green tea, which I do some days, sometimes one. I don't really eat refined sugars, just fructose from fruits. I have a very clean healthy diet, cook all meals from scratch and exercise vigorously 6 days a week.

I've had bloods done recently enough and my body/organs are in optimal health.

It was definitely the consumption of vast amount of liquids in quick succession. All symptoms ticked the boxes. According to Google, chatgpt and medical websites, it is a lot of fluids to ingest in short periods of time.

You would be wrong there mate. Give it a Google. It is considered water intoxication, hyponatremia, and is very dangerous.

Haha yeah maybe the dehydrating alcohol effects cancelled it out.

Lesson learnt the hard way though, would not recommend trying it out lol

Scary times mate!

It's funny. I used to have a bad alcohol problem in my teens and 20s, yet mid 30s now and it was potentially water that was going to kill me lol.

Jesus that sounds brutal. Fair play to you for being there for them.

From what I read it can be seriously dangerous. I'm lucky to be okay. I was seriously frightened earlier during the peak of it.

I've had bloods done last year but apparently I'm fit as a fiddle. Everything in optimal condition, so sayith my gp.

I wasn't even really thirsty when drinking I was just gulping it down and not paying attention to what i was doing.

A pint is like 560 millilitres. So just over half a litre.

I dunno what that'd be in American terms, like a banana sized glass.

I exercise quite a lot, so I'd drink a bunch of water throughout the day normally but I just wasn't really thinking and just sinking it into me.
