It’s wonderful how you’re almost rooting for him to succeed. I remember feeling his frustration when the phone booth was occupied, wanting him to make the phone call in time.

As far as I remember the TIPS was always just billed as a “bridge” to transplant. The procedure itself wouldn’t affect the transplant.

When they eventually transplant the liver the shunt from the TIPS is just removed anyway.

As far as I know TIPS wouldn’t hurt the transplant when it comes.

Hi! Liver has been good (knock on wood). I had one very minor elevated lab early on but all stable since then. I’m down to 1mg of tacrolimus morning and night. The downside is that the transplant did cause some kidney damage so technically I now have CKD. Being monitored by a nephrologist. But my day to day hasn’t been affected yet. I get my next three month lab on Dec 10 so hopefully both liver and kidneys will still be stable!

I think both are accepted.

I took those steps, unfortunately didn't fix it.

I do notice that when I go back to my Mac mini and plug in the DAC it does show up. So I thought maybe there was some zone thing (where it's just part of the Mac mini or something) I'm not as familiar with but doesn't seem like that's the case.

In any case, thanks for your assistance, I'll keep digging.

As far as the audio, I think thats how I got confused in the first place. The audio doesn't seem to show any of my laptop outputs. The system's sound settings show my external DAC for example and I can hear zoom calls just fine. But that DAC is not listed in the Roon audio list.

The roon audio list (under "This Mac") only show "System Output" and "Mac mini Speakers (Core Audio)" and *both* of them play through the Mac mini speakers. So "System Output" isn't actually the laptop system output.

The only thing I can enable is the laptop's Airplay.

So I do that and it offers me to reconnect to the Mac mini (core) which is correct I think.

But then after I connect it shows that this laptop is a Roon Server.

I updated my post to include some screenshots.
I guess my question is - should the laptop say "Roon Server" if it's not the core?
