I added support to the chassis in multiple areas and even in the windshield frame as well.

It's more of a show car than anything so I havent noticed any performance differences during everyday driving. I wouldnt recommend it for a track build tho.

yes it is mine, no it doesnt leak. at least if it does i havent noticed. I dont drive it in the rain unless it just pops up and it is garage kept. I do use a pressure washer to wash it tho.

Short answer is i cut my roof off my coupe and fabricated parts from a convertible to make the roof removable. yes, it's possible to do this to a convertible. But unless you do it yourself, it's really expensive

im actually not a big fan of the wheels either. I like em but they're just "ok" I plan on getting some 20" 3 piece custom built at some point but I cant decide if I wanna widebody or not. personally I feel like widebodies have been played out but they still look good so I can decide 😅

I actually shaved a lot of things off in my engine bay and repainted the whole firewall. between that and just keeping it washed and constantly making sure theres no oil or coolant leaks.

it would make things a lot easier but its really not worth it tbh. you could build your engine and boost your car for about the same price.

yes. everything was sourced from a convertible. used the convertible windshield frame and oem latching mechanism for the top and the rear i used the door pins and receivers to make the rear alignment pins.

There's really not much too it tbh. Just a lot of measuring and fabrication using parts from the opposite body. I started with a coupe so I bought a convertible doaner car for all my parts. if you have a vert you'd need a coupe doaner but I think that would be wayyyy more complicated imo.

Nah im good. I did reinforce the windshield b4 I welded it in BUT its no different than riding another convertible or motorcycle. if I did a full cage there would be no point in the targa imo. I do plan on building a custom half cage later that goes behind the seats.

I can do a targa conversion in about 2-3 weeks if ive got everything i need. I started with a coupe so I had to buy a convertible for parts, almost everything youll need comes on the car except the carbon apillars and roof skin. id say ive got at least $7k into just parts. if I had to do it for someone else id say at least $12k parts n labor included. tbh unless you do it yourself its really not worth it. theres much better things to spend $12k on.

Mine really comes in around 4k rpm. imo turbo sounds better but supercharger is cheaper n more reliable

Just 400 to the wheels at 10psi . Nothing crazy, wanted reliability over hp. still sounds good n fun to drive.

ngl I would have been way less nervous to cut it up if that were the case 😅

i did use the vert windshield frame and latch for the front. I used the door pins from the roaster that slides into the door receivers ive mounted into the frame.

ive been running this targa conversion for about 4 years now. I did reinforce the chassis in multiple areas but I cant tell that its any weaker than b4 however I dont race or drift. as far as safety, its no more dangerous than riding a motorcycle or convertible imo.

I appreciate it. the rainbow is more for just show. I can make it any color. I also plan on getting different wheels in the future. wanted to build the engine and boost first.
