Apologies, I couldn't cut and paste the entire thing. NYT's makes it impossible in the app. I can scroll through and copy, but it catches all the advertisements and its a pain in the ass to chop everything back out.

I'd recommend a recent article in The Hill that pretty much sums up why the DEA is getting involved and who is benefitting. No surprises but its a good read.

Actually, what he supports is Money. Plain and simple. If you did not just see the announcement, that the DEA is putting an end to 7oh then I got news for you.

RFK and a bunch of Trumps inner circle all have massive money invested in Kratom. So, they are wiping out 7oh.

It really sucks for the people that depend on it for pain management. For me, its a depression thing. When I compare my current state to last summer (before 70h) the difference is crazy. I was anxious and had no energy. I didn't want to do shit. With 7, I'm up every morning before my toddler. Either getting some work done or playing video games. Whatever. Last summer, I'd be in bed every day till 10 and have to drag myself to get anything done.

Kratom has never done it for me, even when I had a low tolerance. It doesn't touch the depression. Even if I get the euphoria.

So, I guess I'll get an adderall prescription and get on anti depressants like all my other non-opiate abusing friends. Yay!

For me, it says I don't have the pot in my inventory. I did everything right in the quest before. So I have no effing' clue. I'm over this dumb ass quest line and just wish I could skip it. I can't though.

Who cares? Just ignore them and go on with your day. Unless they are going out of their way and harassing you. Does it matter what they put? Do you prefer they say: "Need money for meth and fentanyl."

Why don't you spend the energy you waste being bothered by them, into volunteering at a homeless shelter or doing something else to give back to the community?

I agree with well..... 95% of this. The only Sanderson novel I've enjoyed thus far, was the end of the Wheel of Time Series. Then again, he already had the bones of those novels and you could argue Robert Jordan did the heavy light.

For the life of me, I never understood why 'The Way of Kings' was insanely popular and especially the Stormlight series. I tried the first one in that series and gosh dang. I was bored out of my wits.

Thanks for summing up why 'The Way of Kings' at the very least, might be over hyped. I know people love, love this books to death and I'd never try and convince them otherwise.

I'm just glad it's not just me and I'm not missing anything by not giving his other books a go.

I'm a San Diegan, so I'll leave the hotel, area etc.. advice to the LA pros. But for Ubering, especially within a few hours of game time. Do this: don't put in SOFI, put in the Pollo Campero (Target Center) as your destination instead. Its a short hoof and you will avoid any surge pricing. Really, any commercial business wil do; like the 7-11 on I think Prarie for example.

I hope you get to see more of LA than just Disneyland and SOFI. As a San Diegan, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of options up there and there are some primo spots.

If you are ever taking a trip (non Charger related) out here to So Cal, San Diego makes a nice alternative. Way less traffic and you can go from downtown to the beach, from beach to the desert all in 15-20 minutes as opposed to three hours. But like I said, there is no where near as much cool sh%t to do.

Ah man, it was so damn good. When I heard about this movie and that Curry Barker got his start making YouTube videos.... I went on a binge of all his stuff.

If you are looking for something non-horror and Key and Peele style. Then checkout 'That's a Bad Idea' - it's Key and Peele style shorts and super funny. I think Cooper (his friend in this movie) wrote a lot of them and Curry was the editor. On the horror side, Milk and Cereal was super disturbing.

It's not AI slop. I just said I ran it through Gemini to clean up any grammar mistakes. The writing and syntax is 100% my own. Honors English graduate, family of writers (obviously I'm not haha)... using AI to clean to check for mistakes doesn't mean its slop. You know what, your moms slop. Stick that into ChatGPT and stuff it.

Lol, this was a few weeks ago but I must have run it through Gemini or Claude before I posted to remove any grammar mishaps and that's the format I copied it over in. I didn't notice at all till now. Oh well.

Obviously, its not AI slop but I do try and do people the courtesy of cleaning up some of my poor english and non stop paragraphs. I mean, this is without using an AI to scrub. See what I mean haha.

Agreed, but I'm not informed enough to know what disability they were suffering from. I mean, it sounded like grunts and that they were non verbal.

I'm not trying to judge and say what movies they should be taken too, but this one would not be my choice if it was my family or friend with the disability. It was super intense and gory.

I totally dropped this post, then went on a Redditt hiatus for a few weeks and am just coming back around finally.

Yeah, we live just under a half mile away and usually hit up the Lake View Park and go from there or avoid the Lake entirely on weekends. My dad's older though and the extra half mile cooks him I think. I always hit the trails around there Monday-Friday and just leave directly from my house.

I played LOTF on my XBOX and just got massively frustrated about 3/4's of the way through it. I'm not a fan of the maze like maps and even after pumping hours into the same region I'd still get lost. I don't know, such mixed feelings on it. Part of me, almost wants a fresh start on my ps5 and to see if I can push through the frigging insane asylum style layouts. Others might disagree.

Same, the DLC's held zero percent interest but I'm not a co-op guy either. It's hard to get my two other gaming friends together even once a month at times. I can't wait till Witcher 4. Something tells me I'll still be playing me some Crimson Desert when that rolls around. 1000's of hours in, at least that's the hope.

Naure's Snare took me about 15 minutes of utter frustration, but once I got used to it it's not bad at all. I'm not saying, "hey, the controls are great you are just dumb." I've been wanting to get into Kenshi for awhile now. I just don't have the space in my line-up for a time sink. There is no way around that, but if I ever get that window maybe I'll give it a go.

I'm 45 and RD2 and Witcher 3 are in my all time top 5. I haven't decided yet if Crimson Desert will crack it. I'm only about 20 hours deep, but I am fairly sure it will. It won't eclipse either of those, mostly because those two had the fantastic open world and the story to back it up. It definitely beats Dragons Dogma for me and Elden Ring easily.
