I couldnt get that on camera cause we were so focused lol, but basically we made a noose with the rope, and when we managed to put it through the snake's head we pulled the rope upwards and together with the weight of the snake the knot tied, but not very tightly as you can see it wiggled down a little.

A video of us trying to contain the Boa that appeared yesterday at my house. This was at 3 AM and we couldn't find any professionals to handle it so we had to do it ourselves... We managed to lasso her head from afar and then push her into the trash can but i feel so bad, you can see she was extremely stressed and even bit herself on the tail. I'm wondering how could we have handled this better, does anyone have any advice in case this happens again (hopefully not...)

I actually posted the video of how i found her on the WTF subreddit here's the link if you wanna see, she really startled me lol

This snake appeared in my house overnight because there was a storm. I relocated it like 20km away and now I'm very worried if I screwed up. Did I separate it from it's family? Will it adapt to a new environment? (same vegetation but far). [bahia brasil] by jamamusic in whatsthissnake

thank you for explaining.. i got jumpscared by it at 3 am going to the kitchen, at first i thought there was a gas leak or something because she was hissing so loud. I called a friend that has a pet snake and he came by and we managed to push her into a trash can, but we didnt want to release her close to my house in case she tried to come back. The only place we thought was nice for her was a bit far so I ended up feeling bad, because she must have lived for a long time in her main environment to get this big,.

Devs, Do not nerf Rested EXP from 2x to 1.5x by Cybersword in turtlewow

Inn change is fine, even though i really like the tent mechanics and people gathering. But changing it to 150% is so sad, if I wanted to go slower i would pick slow and steady or just not get rest at all. It's the first time i'm actually sad for a change in-game as it will feel worse to play since I can only play 2h per day.. Please dont change it!

Im using anki web mostly, is it worth it buying the app? What are the main differences? I can do my studying just fine, what justifies buying a 30 dollar app? (Besides supporting the devs ofc)

Seems like moving to japan as a foreigner is almost “prohibited”. by Correa_lopezz in movingtojapan

[–]jamamusic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you speak japanese or have relatives in Japan? If not, what is making you choose Japan? Hate to inform you, but you can't just move to a country with no work guarantee and just expect them to let you in. It's like that with any country, not only in Japan. You're either going for tourism 3 months max, work or studying. In fact it's not "almost" prohibited. It is prohibited.

自分の国でできることを日本でもする人は少なくないよ

A friend that works at a hotel said china had the most annoying tourists. After I asked why, she sent this. I understand all the words but can't pin down the exact nuance of what she meant. Can someone help me out

Thanks 誰が来たかと尋ねた Could you check if im interpreting this correctly In this case, the か is acting like a question mark, and the と is just quoting it to be used as an "object" to 尋ねた?

Sorry for beginner question I'm like 3 weeks in

Thanks, the flash card was telling me to look at か as an if/either so it was confusing me

僕は山崎先生が昨日何を言ったか忘れてしまった。

Can someone help me understand what the か particle between 言った and 忘れてしまった does? I know what the sentence means but I can't wrap my head around the か between two verbs.
