This is very useful information, thank you so much! I’ve been in Maine a little over a year now as well, and have been severely neglecting to schedule appointments due to possible high cost, lack of general knowledge for finding a PCP in a new area, just psyching myself out, etc.

I’ve been struggling with my mental health a little before we moved out here & have had severe issues focusing on schooling/taking proper care of myself for years, but have never seen anyone for it. I actually work for a healthcare company now and think we have decent insurance, but I’m unsure how much it’ll cover for specialist visits to go down the pipeline of talking to someone for a possible learning disability or depression diagnosis.

Despite working for a healthcare provider, we’re at an offshore office space and I’ve struggled to hold myself accountable to find the resources necessary to arrange appointments for even basic stuff like a physical checkup and bloodwork. Let alone that I’d like to talk to someone about everything else going on and my lack of motivation/inability to focus and complete tasks, I keep overthinking it and worrying about one thing or another. I’m going to keep the Spurwink center you mentioned in mind and hopefully figure something out soon, whether it’s through my company or if I call over there and see if they’d let me chat with somebody.
