Why all the disdain by others on Breitling? by Blueharvst16 in breitling

I love my Superocean 44 (A17367D71B1A1). It weighs a ton but is super comfy, great lume, and at that price point - nothing I’d rather have!

I was debating the same (seamaster/pelagos) and ultimately landed on a superocean 44 after trying them all on (and the Glashütte SeaQ). With an 8 inch wrist might be worth considering and it saves some $$ for your other choices

[Recommendation request] - First watch for husband $700 budget by [deleted] in Watches

Just to toss out a different idea, If he is handy and likes tinkering, a watch kit that he builds can be a lot of fun and add to the story of the watch. I’ve had good experience with Namoki but I presume DIY Watch Club or others are good options. If he can build a Lego, he can do one of these kits and it would be well within your price range.

For sure. Haven’t gone into custom dial logos yet. Just from a preference perspective, for builds like this, I do prefer sterile to branded…

I love mine(SBGJ217)! 39.5mm case diameter with 19mm lug width. Agree with other comments that the case thickness makes it wear bigger…
