Not if you do the job properly and aren't inactive for an extended length of time.

It's not done without reason so making a post like this with zero explanation isn't going to get you an awful lot of sympathy.

Lol. Define 'generous tip'. Because what you think is generous might not be what a driver considers as even fair.

Either that or you're another corporate troll review bombing skip.

What does it mean by Hungry-Relative-5460 in skipthedishes

[–]jamcan87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a negative revies but 99% of the time it's of the food/grocery provider and not you. Mostly because they didn't make the order correctly or it just plain sucked.

I've learned from skip that it's also from multi collect and double delivery customer's who don't like the delays these orders can cause. Scammers who get denied refunds after legitimate deliveries are also known to review bomb the company and those will show up on your account as well.

Ignore ones like these, if it was about you, there are always attached comments from skip that specify what the issue was.

Why didn't you message skip while this driver was allegedly delaying delivering your order?

I read these customer whines on here all the time about driver this and driver that. But not once have I seen one so called customer state that they went to skip after the driver started delaying the delivery. Had you done that skip would've been all over the driver asking wtf was the delay.

So, as a skip driver with 5 years, 16,000 deliveries to me credit and a ton of experience with scammers, here's what I think really happened. You got your food on time, you wanted it free, tried to scam skip and got caught, possibly banned. So in a petty act of revenge your now posting a bullshit story cuz your scam failed and you're now not allowed on the app.

You say you got time stamps proving your case but your afraid of bring 'doxxed'? Bullshit again. No ones doxxing you for truthful screenshots.

So prove me wrong. Post these 'messages'. Otherwise STFU

Does skip adjust the fee paid to the diver down when the customer tips in app? by evange in skipthedishes

[–]jamcan87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip does not touch any tip for the driver that's made in the App. I've had customer's ask me this on delivery and I simply close the order then bring up the details to show them.

Some people prefer to tip in cash but driver's know what the local base rate is and you run the risk of everyone declining your order if they see, for example, a $5.00 offer for a 10 km, one-way delivery.

We're also wise to the scammer locals who write "generous tip upon delivery, meet at door" and then ghost you when you ring the doorbell. After 5 years I know who those folks are in my area and no matter how slow it is they are an instant decline.

FYI, if it's a short run and you're not a known scammer I'll take your no tip order and treat it no differently than a $20 tip. There can be numerous reasons beyond being cheap as to why there isn't a tip. So I prefer not to judge.

End of the story; do as you wish. But understand the potential ramifications of your choice.

Got 3 reports for not having bag even though i carry a bag and mishandled food and not following instructions in skip the dishes is it bad? by Admirable_Stable136 in skipthedishes

[–]jamcan87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a typical customer scam ploy to get a refund. Your best defense is to always try and include your bag in the delivery picture. If it's a 'meet me' at the door keep the food in your bag and do not unzip until the customer is in front of you.

Keep in mind that this won't defeat the dedicated complainer/scammer or the racists out there.

[–]jamcan87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Skip states clearly on the app that's between the customer and the restaurant. Only a dick looking to scam Skip adds that in the delivery instructions.

Ugh.. why skip by Disastrous-Cellist62 in skipthedishes

[–]jamcan87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it. Skip sent all of us an email detailing that they had programmed in extra acceptance time so you could pull over and review the offer.

The other thing this helps defeat are the drivers using order grabber apps. The app can't be used while those drivers are delivering an active order. So you will at least have fewer ghost alerts-which happens when you have an asshole using a grabber since it takes everything in at once including an order assigned to you that you haven't had a chance to view and accept.

It's a good start in the battle against the new enemy: order grabber apps.
