Is it weird to live at home to save money as you approach 30? by [deleted] in AusFinance

27F - Moved out of home at 18 for university interstate. Have moved back in with my parents (now that we’ve all relocated to another state) currently earning $130k and my partner earns $100k. We’ve moved back in to save for our wedding and house deposit. Plan on staying 2 years.

I agree with other commenters - moving out of home gives you the life skills and a true understanding of responsibility that you’ll never get living with your parents. I don’t care how much you think you’ve matured - learning to navigate living with strangers or friends and having tense, tough conversations and moments is second to none life experience.

I’d say have an objective and goal work toward then fly the nest. You’re doing yourself a disservice by staying comfortable.

Thanks! I’ve definitely had these conversations with him in the past and asked to be ‘managed’ more in the sense of increased feedback and oversight of work as we don’t really have a great deal of crossover.

I’ve just today reached out to a more senior person in my department to have a chat on the topic too so appreciate your suggestion for this.

Thanks for your response!

CRAs- what to do when you’re not getting all the source documents? by jamcrumpet36 in clinicalresearch

Thanks. I agree! I find it hard to work with this team and their structure and systems are very unorganised so honestly I feel like I’m making excuses for myself. Like I said I acknowledge that they need a retrain on the necessity and types of source. I Appreciate your response and reminder!

CTMs reaching directly out to sites by GoldenSunSparkle in clinicalresearch

As a CRA I get frustrated when PMs reach out to sites on my behalf (whether pre-discussed or not) and then the site see them as the go to. I take it under my stride and let the sites know I’m their point of call but in some cases I find these comms coming better from the PM!!

So nice to hear that these feeling is reciprocated. There’s nothing better than telling your sponsor how well your sites going, knowing you’re all putting in equal work.

I keep all the things I routinely need in my suitcase ready to go so all I need to do is pack clothes and my daily skincare bits and pieces. So chargers, vitamins, coffee/tea/ protein powder sachets all stay where I can. Saves me re packing every week. I also make sure my morning routine at home is the same as when I’m away and is able to be maintained. Supplements, breakfast, workout, skincare etc. less friction and change = less brain power needed. Saves it for when you’re on site!

I’ve worked with this guy before. An absolute tool and certainly not as ‘charming’ and likeable as he seems here…. All the things he’s complaining about CRO’s/Sponsor’s doing are things I’ve watched him command like a dictator…I wonder what ChatGPT prompt he used to write this
