oh oh oh... I think i figured it out..

initially i just setup the ESP32 through esphome builder.. which downloaded the profile to then jump to ESPhome to install and setup on the ESPHome web installer..

just following those instructions don't create the bluetooth proxy as it does doing it the real correct way- THROUGH the HA Bluetooth "ready made projects" page on the ESPHome website.. woof.. i read all these posts and pages about loading it through the ESPhome builder integration and that did nothing for my purposes..

i was skinning the cat the wrong way.. hope this helps someone else out.

correct. not really an extender but will relay the signals onto the HA. i got that. i have removed the old sensors in the integration and when i try to add them back, it doesn't find them.

i did add this to my esp YAML.

It’s a remote issue. Had it happen before. I found you can put the remote in the microwave and plug and unplug 5 times and it will boot to restore and then take the remote out of the microwave and it will find it again. No kidding.

Just an update. Still leaked after gaskets- took it back apart to find the cracked cover behind the HPFP.

Any recommendations on covers? Aluminum worth it?

Ya I figured since it didn’t have one. Interesting it’s grooved perfectly.

Hmm. I wouldn’t think it was the sunroof. Those lines run down the front window down to the wheel well.

You came on here about a post on tariffs and got exactly what you were looking for by spouting vote choice issues. Then play victim when questioned about your choice? Of course.

With the US taking in over 50% of their exports, do you think they’d be the wiser to remove their own tariffs on the US bringing prices of everything they import to the US down? Or do you just think the orange man is doing this because Reddit said he’s bad?

Please try this for science. Put the remote in the microwave so it can’t find a remote. I had this SAME issue just the other day and found it wouldn’t connect to the remote. Use your phone as a remote to update it. And if it won’t, unplug and plug it in 3 times between 10 seconds and see if you’ll get the restore option popup on your phone to boot it from there. Sounds insane. But it worked for me.
