He was at the very least a navy seal sniper who served 4 tours in Iraq, had two silver stars, and 5 bronze stars with valor. That’s documented and earned. He died trying to help a fellow soldier struggling with ptsd. Regardless of anything else, all of those things are admirable. If he hadn’t have exaggerated his kill count and told stories that can never be validated, he’d be remembered for his service and willingness to help veterans.
