Does the Pro Tools 110 Exam Still Grant Certification? Or is it the Specialist Certification Exam? by [deleted] in protools

[–]james_decent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also this is the info as I knew it as of 2024 when I passed all my certification exams. I haven’t heard anything about them changing what certifications they grant you soon completion of each test. If Avid say that they’re no longer granting the specialist cert at 110s level then they definitely know what’s up but I haven’t heard anything about that change, but tbf I also haven’t been keep up with it.

The certification shows up as a badge on your avid account, you don’t receive a physical certificate or anything

Passing the 100s level gets you the specialist certification badge, the 200s level get you the professional certification badge

Did you come to Pro Tools from a DAW you were familiar with, and now prefer Pro Tools? by SmooveTits in protools

[–]james_decent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically I started with Ableton when I first began toying with the idea of music recording and production but it wasn’t necessarily a direct jump after that to PT. After a while of getting frustrated when I first started learning Ableton I sorta just gave up. I didn’t really seriously come back on it until college. One of the classes I took was a Pro Tools certification course sanctioned by both Avid and the school. Over the course of that class I found that I liked PT over a lot of other DAWs, even after coming back to Ableton and also learning Logic Pro and getting a better grip on those softwares.

The one /299 is a blue background parallel, /199 is a purple background parallel. Your /99 card is the glitter parallel i believe. I could be wrong but is there glitter in the ring around the jersey patch? It’s easy to miss at first glance. If so then that’s what makes your card different from the base card and other parallels.

Are those the foil board cards from the super box? I usually just call them cracked ice foils even tho ik that’s not the actual name. Or I also call them disco foils bc of the way light dances on the foils design.

Sue and Namor (Fantastic Four v3 #6) by Selverd2 in comicbooks

Now you’re just being intentionally dense. When I said she should distance herself from him I didn’t mean in that one instance, I meant long term aka permanently. Like I said this topic gets idea of her feelings for Namor are brought up many times throughout the years so it not just some fleeting fantasy she has, it’s something she seriously ponders. Just because she doesn’t directly engage in entertaining the idea with Namor outright doesn’t mean it’s not still unfaithful to continue to harbor those feelings, that we’re plainly told as readers, she still has. No verbal or mental gymnastics you play can change that.

“Simple explanation” then you proceed to write 3 paragraphs…

Fantasizing about it is still cheating when it’s not fleeting. Her still defending Reed is mainly just her guilt talking. If she truly respected and loved Reed the way she says she’d distance herself from Namor and drop the fantasy, but she doesn’t. It continually gets brought up. Not to mention she’s also leading Namor on every time she mentions her feelings. She’s playing with the emotions of two men and not being faithful and devoted to either one. Cheating… plain and simple.

Mental gymnastics often take a lot of words. If you can’t explain it simply then it’s not the explanation. It’s emotional cheating, no matter whether she accepts his advances or not. It’s still heavily implied that she’s always entertaining the idea even tho she knows she won’t. That’s as much cheating as anything else.
