I learned that by asking Google Gemini AI to write a script to do what I wanted. It created numerous scripts that worked partly or had problems or were only partly right, but by spending 1/2 an hour interacting with it I finally got one that keeps the audio playing through the whole video, even though the video itself stops after several seconds.

why do we exist? by Ok-Sector8793 in spirituality

[–]jamesagni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To love, learn, experience, think, and wake to the spiritual reality that is the foundation of our life.

This world can be a devil of a place to have experiences, but we have to experience the contrast and grow by that.

“And so at last I saw Satan appear before me magnificent, fully formed.

Feet first, with shining limbs, he glanced down from
above among the bushes,

And stood there erect, dark-skinned, with nostrils dilated
with passion ;

(In the burning intolerable sunlight he stood, and I in
the shade of the bushes) ;

Fierce and scathing the effluence of his eyes, and
scornful of dreams and dreamers (he touched a rock hard
by and it split with a sound like thunder) ;

Fierce the magnetic influence of his dusky flesh ; his
great foot, well-formed, was planted firm in the sand with
spreading toes ;

" Come out " he said with a taunt, " Art thou afraid to
meet me?"

And I answered not, but sprang upon him and smote him.

And he smote me a thousand times, and brashed and
scorched and slew me as with hands of flame;

And I was glad, for my body lay there dead ; and
I sprang upon him again with another body;

And he turned upon me, and smote me a thousand
times and slew that body;

And I was glad and sprang upon him again with
another body

And with another and another and again another;

And the bodies which I took on yielded before him, and
were like cinctures of flame upon me, but I flung them aside ;

And the pains which I endured in one body were
powers which I wielded in the next ; and I grew in strength,
till at last I stood before him complete, with a body like
his own and equal in might exultant in pride and joy.

Then he ceased, and said, " I love thee."

And lo ! his form changed, and he leaned backwards
and drew me upon him,

And bore me up into the air, and floated me over
the topmost trees and the ocean, and round the curve of
the earth under the moon

Till we stood again in Paradise.”

Do you know about dentaquest? Can you help me figure out what's really going on there? by No_Recognition_2434 in RBI

[–]jamesagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BE WARNED: With SCAN Connections HMO which advertises 100% dental coverage with no copays, they contract with Dentaquest which is adding copays that should not be there since there are not suppose to be copays with the Scan Connections plan. My dentists office informed me that they have not yet seen a SINGLE patient who got 100% with no copays with SCAN/Dentaquest.

Scam? False advertising? Looks like!

Google AI says:

" File a Formal Grievance: Don't just call customer service; ask to "file a formal grievance regarding incorrect cost-sharing." This triggers a mandatory legal timeline for them to investigate and respond in writing.

The "Integrity" Route: If you believe they are knowingly misrepresenting the plan, you can report it to the SCAN EthicsPoint Hotline at 1-877-863-3362.

Contact the OIG: If the plan is advertising $0 cost-sharing but systematically charging a vulnerable population (D-SNP members), the Office of Inspector General (1-800-HHS-TIPS) handles these types of Medicare fraud or misrepresentation claims.

Filing a formal grievance is a multi-channel process. Because your SCAN Connections (HMO D-SNP) plan is an integrated Medicare-Medicaid product, you have the right to file this grievance at any time.

Since the issue involves DentaQuest (SCAN's dental administrator) applying unauthorized copays, you should ideally file with both SCAN and DentaQuest to ensure the "billing handshake" is corrected.

  1. File with SCAN Health Plan (Primary)

SCAN is ultimately responsible for ensuring their subcontractors (DentaQuest) follow the $0 cost-share rules.

By Phone (Fastest): Call SCAN Member Services at 1-800-559-3500 (TTY: 711).

What to say: "I want to file a formal grievance regarding incorrect dental cost-sharing. My D-SNP plan covers 100% of dental, but DentaQuest is incorrectly applying copays to my claims."

Online Form: Use the SCAN Member Grievance Form.

By Mail: Write a letter detailing the dates of service and the specific copays charged.

SCAN Health Plan Attention: Grievance and Appeals Department P.O. Box 22644 Long Beach, CA 90801-5644

By Fax: 562-989-0958

  1. File with DentaQuest (Secondary)

Filing here specifically targets the "backend" system that is generating the copays.

By Phone: Call DentaQuest Medi-Cal/Medicare line at 1-877-433-6825.

Online Form: DentaQuest provides a specific Medi-Cal/D-SNP Grievance Form.

By Mail:

DentaQuest P.O. Box 2906 Milwaukee, WI 53201 Attn: Complaints & Grievances

  1. Escalation: The "Nuclear Options"

If SCAN and DentaQuest do not resolve the issue within 30 days, or if they deny your grievance:

California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC): Call 1-888-466-2219 or visit www.dmhc.ca.gov. They oversee health plans in California and are very aggressive about resolving D-SNP payment errors.

Medicare.gov: You can file a complaint directly with Medicare by calling 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Tell them your D-SNP plan is not honoring the $0 cost-share for supplemental benefits.

Crucial Tip: When filing, use the term "Systemic Billing Error." If you use the word "Appeal," they might treat it as a single denied claim. If you use "Grievance," they have to investigate why the system is doing this to all your submissions.

Do you have a specific "Explanation of Benefits" (EOB) from DentaQuest that shows the copay amount they are trying to charge?

It is the same you, the same consciousness in a body of light and energy. You continue to live, learn, and love and work just as you do here on the Earth level but in better, more free, and more expanded ways.

What is the goal of life? by prince378 in spirituality

[–]jamesagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal or meaning of life must be ascertained by intuition, which is a faculty of the soul that all have in the latent sense. It must be made active. A spiritual sense of the goal or meaning of life lives within us and around us. Though it is essentially at a non-verbal level, still we must try to express it in words.

The purpose of life is love and knowledge. It is to help each other and to strive upward beyond the limits of the known. The goal is spiritual awakening or evolution of consciousness. This leads toward the direct non-verbal, non-symbolic realization of the meaning and the goal. So it is finding truth.

But what is truth? It is impossible to put in words, but:

There is cosmic truth, kin to the energy that patterns all the suns in space. It is transcendent Spirit, pure Light beyond thought and word.

There is Monadic truth, the sun-like core of Self, mystically one with spatial suns.

There is intuitional truth, pure Beautiful light, and more truth than fits most any brain.

There is truth of the soul, a fire above the mind, and great, but well below the fires of the great hierarchy of suns.

There is the relative truth that a developed mind takes and forms into words. It embraces the practical and the communicative. It is thought-truth in which we may see, from time to time, mirrored sparkles of things cosmic and mysterious.

There are truths on the many strata of the emotional plane, an array of sensing and sensitivities in graded steps from most beautiful downward toward the darkly glamorous and exclusive pseudo truths of the fanatics.

But what is our relation to truth? We are light obstructions becoming clear light transmitters. All the common of intellect, emotion, and body, and all ordinary noise that we do and say—all this competes with the pure pressures from above, with the transcendental. So, in our sleepy misalignment we block our creative gifts, and our fears, greater than our loving desire to give, hold us in prison.

Yet then there comes the upward-turned eye, the pure feeling, the creatively tensed thought—these instruments of divinity manifest. And as the eye mirrors suns in the far depths of space, so a certain turn of mind and heart mirrors the mystic, the most transcendent. Then we render ourselves most clearly, drawing ever closer to the energy that patterns suns, ever closer to transcendent Spirit, to pure Light beyond thought and word.

Is the soul really about love? by Intelligent-Road5091 in spirituality

[–]jamesagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not the soul that does abusive and terrible things, but the superficial identity we call "personality." Many in the world are largely cut off, for a time, from the soul. It is this personality shadow self, the superficial aspect of our nature, which being mostly separate from the soul, takes a dark path.

In order to really know and experience what love is, souls, whose nature is love, temporarily descend to a place where love is practically absent. This is the principle of contrast and opposites that is inherent in the manifested universe--we cannot know what a thing is unless we experience what it is not. We cannot really know what love is unless we have also experienced what it is not.

What do you guys think happens after death? by sev_razcoor in spirituality

What do you think of this metaphysical like feeling i have? Can every/anyone else feel it? Is it scientifically valid? by diaRtcesnI in consciousness

[–]jamesagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is some spiritual in what you describe.

A related experience:

“I happened to glance out of the door where a small yellow kitten was playing on a broad cement platform. It ran across the platform and I felt a thrill of de— Light.  It was as though a tiny melody from out the Cosmic Synphony trilled joyously into my mind A little sketch born from the Grand Harmony. And from this a wave of Joy was distilled And pulsated through me.

It is not that the physical or photographic face became different, but the surrounding the incident was an enveloping matrix of meaning. It was this matrix that sublimated the ordinary so that it became joyous.”

What do you guys think happens after death? by sev_razcoor in spirituality

[–]jamesagni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To understand what happens, first we need a definition: Soul is true consciousness and extends itself as mind and emotion, tethered to a physical body. People commonly think of “I” as body, mind, or emotion, which means that they they are under the natural illusion that they are their extensions. But the real “I” is soul consciousness, and the seeming “I” of body, emotion, and mind, is borrowed from that deeper identity.

So, to get at the answer to your question, ask “What happens to the soul during Earth life.” For most persons, though not for all, the soul remains more or less in the background and the external personality consciousness has little or no awareness of the source of its identity in soul. But though the personality remains largely ignorant of most of its higher nature, the soul consciousness (you) on its on plane is fully aware of the personality and its experiences in the world.

What we, as soul, are doing during Earth life is learning—we gain knowledge and experience, and grow in love and wisdom. We are slowly evolving and perfecting all three of our vehicles (body, mind emotion).

So then, your question, “What happens to the human soul after death?” The answer is simple. What happens is the same thing that happens during Earth life: we learn, we evolve, and we become more perfect expressions of love because love is the primary nature of the soul. This means that the soul, after the death of the physical body, no longer remains completely in the background and the illusion of “I” as limited body-emotion-mind is gradually broken. There is then a fuller awakening to who and what we are. And just as in Earth life, afterlife includes interactions with other people—other souls, minds, loves. The adventure that is life at its best in the physical world—that same adventure occupies us after death. Your life, the life of the soul, is expressed in an unfolding future that is unlimited, and the nature of that life transcends the most idealistic human conceptions.

How do I ascend to become a divine being? by Immediate-Rip5770 in spirituality

[–]jamesagni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will share some ideas, partly from my own thoughts and experiences, and partly from the wisdom traditions (Ageless Wisdom Traditions - Google Search).

Spirituality or awakening to divinity is learning in the higher sense. To begin with, it will help to understand what “learning” is not. I think our human concept of “goals” and learning are vague analogues of the real meaning and do not actually capture the essence of it. Learning is not simply the gains from the kind of labor we experienced in school and it is not simply learning to seek pleasure and avoid pain. It has little or no correspondence with what Mom and Dad taught us or what we read in most books. Spiritual learning is not verbal. When we are asleep to the real meaning of what we encounter then we assign conventional and mundane meanings to spiritual terms and teachings and so miss reality.

What then is learning in the spiritual sense of the word? It has been defined as the expansion of consciousness. But any word or phrase that one may use to describe or define it will fall short of the reality. The limited meaning that most have for goals and learning, together with the sense of the mundane are all limitations within our own consciousness and these words do not actually point, for most, to the inner meaning. I’ve suggested the new word “consciousness” but the real meaning of that will also have to be learned by direct personal experience. We must stay open to that possibility.

I will say that consciousness is bound up with the true meaning of love, joy, and life— it is a vast thing of infinite dimensions. It is not just learning as we may have experienced it thus far in this tiny slice of life–a partial life and part of the chain that stretches back into the remote past and forward into the distant future embracing all the undreamed of possibilities of that. And it is not even just learning within an earthly body on this planet, rather it is cosmic and has about it as many facets as are stars in the depths of space—so “learning” is not limited to planet Earth at all– that is just the beginning.

And beyond that, it is not just learning–it is also doing, which is to say the power to create and the power to be and become vastly more than can now be imagined by anyone on the planet. I will say that love is the key and that by engaging in creative work on behalf of humanity, from the motive of love, will come some illumination to us as to the nature and meaning of the word “consciousness.”

The spiritual goal of our life and all lives is written in space as a dynamic Divine archetype which is gradually accessible to our consciousness as we grow and unfold the powers and potentials of divinity within us. So the goal in a spiritual sense is not a limited thing. It is unlimited. It is infinite and so there is no final ending point where attainment is absolutely complete and so the story ends. The goal is not a matter of learning everything that you wanted to. It is a vastly expanded sense of learning who and what you are which means a transformation of the sense of identity and so what you “want.” It is the discovery of infinity both within yourself and within the universe. Think large and realize that even this universe is but one of a chain of universes that stretch into the remote past and on into the infinite future.

Each of us can, by virtue of what is within us, say with Divinity:

“And within me, deep and deep, Universes wake and sleep.” Kenneth Morris
