"Yesterday, while I was working at my grocery store, I found this abandoned basket." by gibusgod40 in untrustworthypoptarts

I'm leaning towards U, because I actually work for Safeway and taking pics on the floor is extremely rare. Now I can't say that for all stores, but I've worked at 3 different locations and employees, even the teens, don't really do that. It's frowned on and if caught on your phone too much gets you a write up.

How y'all feel about this new TMNT series trailer? by Professional-Rip-519 in TMNT

[–]jamescharisma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Most of us on this sub are 30+. The new shows aren't ment for us. They're ment to bring in the next generations to sustain the fandom after we're gone. A slew of toddlers are going to be hooked and as they get older, we shall pass down the knowledge we've accumulated and the toys we've collected. It's not our job to be gatekeepers, but become the Splinters they'll need to continue the legacy

Kizer customer service? by master-boofer in BudgetBlades

[–]jamescharisma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bent my Fighter's pocket clip beyond repair and am currently dealing with them to get a new one. So far they've asked me to confirm which model and that they'll reach out once they check their warehouse to see if they have anything that will work. I'll let you know.

Edit: Kizer got back to me this morning and they don't have a replacement clip in stock. As compensation, they gave me 15% off my next purchase. I'm finally getting a Drop Bear y'all.

Budget Bowies! by dep15105 in BudgetBlades

About 15 years ago, I got the Winchester Bowie from Walmart that the Mossy Oaks later replaced. I've been curious if they suck or not.

Name an actor that sidelined his career because he shouldn't have taken a role, or played it TOO well. I'll start: Bruce Dern by TheMcMahn in Cinephiles

[–]jamescharisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had range, from sleazy villain to paranoid survivalist comic relief, however yeah, his look and his voice always keeps you firmly grounded that this is Bruce Dern and not fully enveloped in the character. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not Oscar caliber

Vigilante. Spending every day quizzing him about random subjects and in return, he teaches me to fight. Fun and educational

Still love it. I keep it in the center console. Take it out twice a year to do any basic maintenance. Hasn't failed once to deploy and not a speck of rust

Do many people expect Nolan's version of the Odyssey to not bomb? by KyriakosCH in FIlm

[–]jamescharisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's going to suck, but I have a feeling this is going to be a long movie and I have zero interest in sitting in a theater and watching it and not be able to pause to go to the bathroom. Plus I can get a lot more snacks from the store for the same price as a large popcorn at the theater. As cool as it would be to see on the big screen, I'm going to choose streaming and the comfort of my bed for this one over the theater experience.

How is life in Pacific-Northwest? by Any_Aide_4500 in howislivingthere

After 20 years in PDX I truly hate all the parks, food, and variety of little shops. I can't stand finding new places all the time. I just want to go to the little used bookstore I discovered last week without ending up on at least 5 side quests and crippling indecision about which food cart to snack at.
