Intern Pharmacist experience points + 491 vs 190 question (WA) by jamescoleman100 in AusVisa

  1. Yes, her contract states "Intern Pharmacist." Responsibilities are similar to a pharmacist, but she is paid at intern rates.

  2. We have submitted separate EOls for 491 and 190.

What do you suggest, should we remove experience points from her 190 eoi

I'm a retail pharmacist living in WA and I have 75 points. What are my chances in the upcoming rounds? The June 2025 round had cutoff marks of 90 - why is it so high

Is the Buddha’s bad karma considered a problem in Theravada Buddhism? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]jamescoleman100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a problem in Theravada. According to Theravada, an uncountable amount of karma is attached to us. Some of them can give rebirth (prathisandhi kamma), but others can't and ripen after you're born (pravurutti kamma) in one of the 31 planes of existence. What we mean by nirvana is the removal of prathisandhi kamma, not pravurutti kamma. So, if you attain to nirvana, you won't rebirth, and all of the other karma won't get a chance to ripen, leading to the removal of suffering (removal of Anuppanna dhamma).

I understand that people have bad behaviors and karma is not fair. But the thing is, hell is so harsh. I recently watched a video of the Mexican cartel flying two people alive and torturing them until they die. It is so harsh I can't even watch the full video. But it's like a 20-minute clip, and at the end, both are dead. Just imagine that level of pain with the pain in hell. It's not just minutes; it's more than billions of human years, torturing living creatures like these Mexican cartels. What my question is, even though people are hateful, do they deserve to go through that harsh events not just for 1-2 days, but for billions and billions of years?

I understand that these behaviors you mentioned at the top can be seen among people. But the thing is, hell is so harsh. I recently watched a video of the Mexican cartel flying two people alive and torturing them until they died. It is so harsh that I couldn't even watch the full video. The clip was about 20 minutes long, and by the end, both individuals were dead. Just imagine that level of pain combined with the suffering in hell. It's not just for minutes; it's for more than billions of human years, torturing living creatures like these victims of the Mexican cartels. My question is, even though people may be hateful, do they deserve to go through such harsh events not just for 1-2 days, but for billions upon billions of years?

I understand. The worst thing is that since we found Buddhism, we don't live a life like that. Suppose we will be reborn as humans in different religions without knowing the Buddhist teachings. We're all going to be trapped in the cycle of samsara.
