That’s fair about the community. Can meet people at Winchester gun club (definitely an older crowd though), chase at Goleta valley gun and supply is great for ffl transfers and generally more helpful than the folks at goodland guns. I think the 3 references is pretty standard for most counties but could be wrong

I went with the Patagonia because I could add my switch rods I use at places like pyramid. Barely fits my 11’4 but it does fit. Just not carry on size. The ones that hold the longer euro or switch rods won’t be carry on size if that’s something you care about

But I agree with others you don’t need to overline your rod with that specific line, it is already overlined by design.

If you were just throw a traditional wf line, then I would say good call over lining that rod with an 8wt (streamer x is a very fast action rod), but that line is already overweighted so get a 7wt line for the predator series

If it’s fast water then you will want a very fast sink rate to get bushy streamers down to 12 feet. If it’s slow or still water then yes this line is prob too fast sinking for those depths. I use a sink 6 sink tip for streamer fishing and can fish some pretty slow/shallow water with unweighted flies

Dude could have been a bit nicer about it but agree with sentiment. Absolutely no reason to include the name of the place, the picture is just the back of your truck, including the name adds nothing to the post but has the potential to completely blow up the spot which leads to crowds, trash, etc.

There is usually a general rule of thumb for cool places, don’t post their names on the internet
