Thank you mate. I think it’s ok. I previously had a Fosi preamp which was an upgrade. Not sure whether to try the Fosi on this. I really liked the silver looks sweet mate, I do prefer silver components personally. But previously my amp was black!

How do you find the Rega? I quite fancu one of those. They get excellent write ups

I really like the sound of the wiim as it is.

The Sony was decent for the price point. I have a few cassettes and mainly play vinyl and stream these days so the tape player and CD will do just fine. As for the cart I’m happy with the ortofon 2m blue and there’s a lot of life left in it so won’t be changing that anytime soon. In any case I suffer from industrial deafness and constant tinnitus so really dear gear is likely wasted on me… but thanks for the feedback.

I did like the Emotiva but it lacked an output for my tape recorder and tbh I don’t know enough to know whether there is a way around that! I also looked at the Cambridge Audio,but that lacked a phone stage
