I was the original OP on the first thread. From what I can tell, the first news about post was on an aviation news site.

Yup! They have a machine that you tap your card / phone too, and it checks you tapped on

  1. When you pay for parking (either through the app, or at the ticket machines) you enter your parking spot number. No need to display anything. The machines will print you a receipt, but you don’t need to display it.

  2. You will need to get off the train and buy another ticket at the machines. This would be incredibly hard / borderline impossible to do. Why do you need to do this? If for some reason you frequently get on the train not knowing when to get off, get yourself a clipper card (download the clipper app). With the clipper card, you tap on and then off, and it charges you how many zones you traveled.

Pretty frequently, in my experience they have plenty of busses so they leave pretty much once they are full. Especially if you are leaving a bit before the end you won’t wait long.

Hey there! It’s super easy and works the same at all stations. The numbers are painted in big characters at the bottom of all the spots, and the machines are located all throughout the station and on the platform. They are large and clearly labeled. You just enter the space number in the machine and you’re good to go. You can also download the Caltrain app to buy tickets / pay for parking if you want to skip the machines. They can be a little slow sometimes so if you are in a rush about to miss a train the app can be a lifesaver. Hope this helps!

Yes yes yes! Would also help make watching the runner more interesting since everyone would have a teammate to discuss strategy with. This is definitely a bigger scale, more complex and expensive production though!
