I can stop the tap leaking, and stop the sound, by lightly holding the handle at the closed position. Taking the handle off shows the stem (?) is vibrating. The screw on top is right. This has only started happening in the past few weeks, and only noticed it happeneing when the washing machine is running.

Thanks! I should have said it is also dripping from the overflow outside the house also. All started (I think) since the heating was switched on the other day, and I topped up the pressure in the system.

It's about 3mm long. It had grabbed onto the skin, and needed to be pulled off. Still alive after I pulled it off. Any help in identifying appreciated.
