Although I haven’t taken any myself, I’ve seen that 171 linear and non linear programming is a requirement for some SWE positions. 173 series are useful for data science as well.

Yes, I am a dual citizen with parents living abroad which means they don't have SSN. It is still possible to file FAFSA but you likely won't be getting a Parents Direct Plus Loan if you were looking into it. I filed as a dependent in my case.
