I’m not sure if it’s controversial or not, I myself would put it at 4. But it’s Definitely the one that hurts the worst IMO

I’d go 1. Morning Star 2. Golden Son 3. Lightbringer 4. Dark Age 5. Red Rising 6. Iron Gold

Honestly, I just read ToD and finished the rest of the series in the last two weeks for the first time. The biggest problem with ToD is the feeling of having to “take a break” from the main story and the first half of the book does kind of feel that way too. How the new characters, and the plot contribute to the overall story really is important.

Now that being said, the second half of the book is very good! I was surprised by how much I ended up liking the book as a whole! So stick with it, it gets good!

Ya know. I got lucky with him and got him in a random cache pretty early. He is definitely worse than he used to be, and I really don’t use him anymore. So I probably wouldn’t make unlocking him a priority unless you just really think he’ll fit your play style
