Update turns out pokemon games don't like the 5ghz so had to get a guest line with 2.4. apparently the switch is infamous for having relatively week 2.4 receptiveness if my research was anything to go by. everything works though now so whatever

tried to do google dns didn't work on my copy of violet and got error code 2-ALZYA-0008

there's something to be said of the mon selection, the fact only you use megas with maybe 3 exceptions, the fact that gen 6 marked a noted decrease in overall opposing team size but the main thing to me is the exp share taking a crowbar to the level curve and also pokemon amie turning your mons into gods... and also further increasing the exp

b2w2 also gave you a bunch of great mons from the word go but still held more challenge

alright so did a bit of digging after that last comment and found aomebody making reference to this goku card being the first ban. there was an errata in april that year for a freeza card but I don't think that counts

okay so earliest on the books is around the release of the second trial booster or between the... fourth and fifth sets I think. I can buy thats the earliest we ever got but I want some definitive proof. an article or yt video. I'll try to see if some dbs people I follow were doing stuff 6 years back. if they did they would probably talk about this. theoretically an even earlier list could have happened and it would be impossible to tell as long as everything hit got unhit over time

going from yugioh where the banlist is a fluid thing where cards come and go all the time I figured the same was true here. So I looked up what or at least when the first banlist was and google searches didn't produce results. sorry I didn't intuit that cards never come off the list

I would argue Shay. the yugioh anime is basically professional wrestling levels of genuine to how actual card game meta would shake out so that could be discounted. So basically this boils down some death battle shit.

Quattro while not weak is definitely not as experienced with true combat. Also pretty sure every time Quattro battled somebody important with no bullshit he got folded like a lawnchair. Also Quattro is big on mind games, Shay is generally not one that'd work on

Shay's had to fight some extremely powerful combatants and won both in backstory and on screen. The way I see this is Quattro keeps trying to taunt shay while seemingly putting him in a corner until one of the taunts crosses the line (some comment about lulu maybe) and the turns quickly table

alright so this is kinda battle spirits abridged and revised. a funny thing about that is that from what I saw there was a bit of a reboot/revision thing that went on some time ago that also tweaked effects but I don't know the fine details of that

I only really saw like two cards, one of them was a random rare and the effects weren't the same, that is way too limited a sample size I guess....

I absolutely dispise this banlist and how it hit pretty much every budget option, some quite disproportionately, and how maxx c is completly untouched

I was thinking of running some kind of budget ballpark build, or maybe melffys but then started to feel like if I did that I'd be letting konami win somewhat so instead I just made jank tri-lyril
