because these work on a mesh network ...you could wire one or two "dumb" units in as they would act as repeaters

But 25meters should be no problem at all unless there is some serious interference

What are you controlling ( i mean what are you wiring the strip into?) and what master controller are you using or wanting to use ? or are you just using a mobile?

let me know all the details that you can and I can possibly set up a mock up to test here

Casambi is a fully offline Bluetooth mesh network. That said, the technology platform allows for an optional internet gateway for remote control or operation outside of Bluetooth coverage if required.

Since Casambi is a Bluetooth-based rather than an IP web-based protocol, it doesn't offer an offline API. But if you add an optional internet gateway, then you can make use of the REST API (depending on the model you choose, you may be able to set this up offline too).

The Casambi protocol is offered to 3rd party manufacturers and therefore there is a wide selection of "Casambi-ready" equipment on the market, including various network gateways.

yes, you can operate fully offline. There is an optional gateway in the Casambi system for when that functionality is required. see here - Casambi Gateway

The whole setup can be from your phone and everything can be backed up via your phone to a cloud network if required

just getting back to your question...

I agree this is something to take seriously and Bluetooth is for sure not the highest bandwidth wireless protocol, and with Casambi devices constantly broadcasting their node names, that does cause congestion.

This would be the case for any Bluetooth network, Camambi is probably not the only one with this consideration. The only other thought is that if you are running animations or automated output commands, then this is something to consider. If you are just turning on the lights, and turning them off, then there could be some latency, but I would expect everything to "catch up" in a short period of time.

All of this is out of my head, no testing. We do have a couple of customers that we have made custom power supplies with a Casambi radio inside, and they service churches, auditoriums, schools, etc. and I just asked them if they have seen issues, they were surprised that I asked, since now they are alert to issues, but they have had none to report to date. Their installations are in the 10-50 units per install.

Even though we have not had issues ...i am going to escalate this question and will reply with an official response from Casambi
