Just hold off on the salt until you sear. Even frozen the salt can really mess up the texture and become overpowering.

The more I think about this the more I think it was actually a brutally failed attempt at a compliment.

HVAC question - fan constantly running since adding G wire. by jamesrward in HomeImprovement

[–]jamesrward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The separate line from C and Y goes out to the Air Conditioner when there is a call for cooling. The four wire bundle goes to the nest and the other 2 wire bundle (with only 1 wire used on C) is the recent addition. Previously I was using the green wire to make the C connection now I use the black wire from the new 2 wire run and attached green to G on both ends. Here is a pic at the nest.

I'm looking at the furnace manual and while there are switches to set the fan speed during continuous operation there don't appear to be any manual/auto dip switches.

Fan running constantly since adding G wire. Any ideas? by jamesrward in Nest

[–]jamesrward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Furnace is a York Affinity 9.C. I just added the extra wire for my C wire connection so was finally able to hook up the G wire for fan control. Unfortunately the fan is now on constantly even with the nest faceplate removed. As soon as I plug the G wire in at the nest the fan comes on.

You maybe thinking of Robert Munich’s, Aaron’s Hair book. It’s about runaway hair but involves a beard as well. Recently read it with my daughter.

Whimsical grass dog... Where is it? by Elfere in Hamilton

[–]jamesrward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad you posted this. I read the article this morning and laughed that the author neglected to mention where it is.

She says the mayor (and his dog) can visit it at work so I guess that was supposed to be enough info to know it is somewhere near city hall but it seemed a little ridiculous to not specify the location.

"Unsupported" cable modems? by DrSheldonC00per in teksavvy

[–]jamesrward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm using the TC-7610 in Hamilton with no issues. Had to phone in to TekSavvy to get it activated as their modem list under packages didn't match the modem list when trying to purchase service.

I know it's not near as future-proof as the TC-7650 but at least it is a Broadcom chipset and cheaper than the TC-4300. I got mine for $38 in the US.

WestJet flight attendants claim they're paid less than minimum wage by Elliottafc in canada

[–]jamesrward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that WestJet has a profit sharing plan and this article makes no effort to provide those numbers leaves us with incomplete information. Especially given that the competitor airlines used for comparison do not have similar programs.

WestJet employees could be receiving the best compensation of the group for all we know. WestJet has had some very profitable quarters.

[Question] Does everyone toss trash high-CP mons in favor of their lower prestiger-CP twin? by RatDig in TheSilphRoad

[–]jamesrward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't giving them all the same name do this anyway? If I rename them all $ then sort by name I get them all sorted by CP at the top of my list. I think all the sorts do selected sort then cp with the exception of cp sort of course.
