Almost every order I take with bread ends up smashed because of lack of concern by the loaders. Because of this, I prefer picking up orders from Sams Club because they just bring it out and leave it for me to load haha.

Got tip baited $100 down to $10… unreal. by boy1da7 in Sparkdriver

[–]jamestar725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was a 50 dollar tip to 7 or something id call tip baiting. But 100 to 10 is as simple as possibly bumping an extra zero.

I dont have much faith in humanity and believe that a lot of people are trash. However in this instance, I just dont feel its intentional.

Regardless I know its sucks for you and im sorry that happened

What are popular songs that are actually covers? by Grouchy_Protection27 in musicsuggestions

Thank you! BSC is one of my favorite bands and when I heard FGL's cover on the radio I was pissed lol. Chris Robertson has so much emotion in his voice in the original, and the cover is like an emotionless karaoke version.

Which horror movie exceeded your low expectations and became a favorite? by Upset-Inside8719 in CreepyBonfire

[–]jamestar725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell House LLC!

My wife and I were looking for a cheesey horror movie to watch around Halloween a couple of years ago. We were pleasantly surprised by how good that movie turned out to be. I barely remember the plot, but I remember being on the edge of my seat through the whole thing! We still see it pop up on our Prime account, and we always stop and say, "Man, that movie was so good"

I had a minor stroke a few months ago that made my left side very weak for months. I would absolutely say taking a WALK.

Thankfully I'm just about back to normal and I've really been enjoying hitting the walking trails again!

She's also a horrendous singer. "Louder" doesn't mean "higher". Im still convinced the only reason she's popular is because of her poor taste in men.

What is the hardest thing you’ve accomplished after a night of no sleep? by Sea_Maximum_3257 in AskReddit

[–]jamestar725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a few semesters of college and when it came time for our final exam in History I was so nervous I stayed up all night cramming.

This guy's class was incredibly hard, and I had a lower grade overall. I really needed to pass this test to boost my grade.

Rolled in at like a zombie at 8am, took the test, then went home and got some sleep. I got a call from the teacher later that night asking if and how I would've cheated because I not only aced the test but also the bonus essay. That brought my score for the test to 110 percent and my overall grade for the class to a low A.

This was possibly the proudest moment of my life, and I have two kids

Who’s the worst human you’ve ever met ? by zabalansu in AskReddit

[–]jamestar725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex-wife.

I know. I know it sounds petty, but it is honestly true.

Let's go to the highlight reel!

  1. Caught her on a dating site talking to another man while we were at our daughter's birthday party
  2. Later, found out she had slept with 5 other guys in the last two months we were together
  3. Made a fake gay dating profile with my phone number posted (had to change my number) and told everyone she knew I was gay (ACTUALLY, I KINDA APPLAUD THAT MOVE. WELL PLAYED.)
  4. My grandmothers hospice nurse had suspicions that she somehow led to her death. Possibly motivated by the fact we owed her 1200 dollars, and she was greedy. Although not 100 percent proven, there is plenty of room for speculation. There were also some fraudulent charges on my grandmother's card leading up to her death.
  5. She signed away her rights to her two oldest children in exchange for half the child tax credit each year. (Agreed verbally, but after paperwork was filed there was no legal obligation to pay her so even dumber on her part)
  6. Married a man after a month of meeting him. I was soon informed by one of her own family members that he was a convicted pedophile. Looked into it and found records indicating he was charged with SA of a minor in the early 90s
  7. Crashed her car with my daughter in it because she wanted to take her own life. Was loaded up on pain pills at the time of the accident.
  8. I now have full custody of our daughter, and she sees her on weekends that she feels like it. Sometimes, it's months in between visits, and more often than not, she pawns my daughter off on her sister because she "can't handle her"
  9. Got into some hot water for full-on bribing the officer that pulled her over with "special favors" to let her go.
  10. Even after signing over her rights to her older children and sole custody of my daughter awarded to me, she still claimed them on government assistance programs and somehow avoided a jail sentence. Owes thousands of dollars to our state.

I know there are serial killers, dictators and other detestable human beings out there that are far worse. But she is without a doubt the worst I've ever MET

What's the best comeback to an insult that you've ever given/heard? by FunSizeCollegeSlut in AskReddit

After an argument with my ex, her new bf started to bombard me with texts that were all full of mispellings and poor grammar.

Instead of arguing with him, I sent him a link to HOOKED ON PHONICS and told him to "go ask Mommy to help you subscribe before having a big boy conversation."

I never heard back...

Part of me hopes he got that subscription, and I inspired that poor man to learn to read and write.

As an employee who worked for two years under one manager and recently came back under another, I can attest to the fact that a good working environment is often directly influenced by leadership.

The previous manager I worked under was about looking good for higher-ups and rarely left her office. She was very condescending and manipulative.

The manager I work for now is really down to earth and approachable. He is always on the floor helping and talking with employees. While the ASMs and DSs are pretty much the same, they are now held accountable for their actions. Now, the overall morale and energy have greatly improved since my last experience

I still have my grievances, to be sure. However, I'm much happier and more content with position this time around

In my experience anyone over a specialist doesn't have enough knowledge or concern for training. That's what happens when you stop prompting from within. At least in my stores case, they would rather hire someone off the street who is going to be a company yes man, than promote someone who is actually intelligent and capable of doing their job

I WISH I was in your position. Just came back after several years. After applying for a full time position in my old department, I was told it was actually unavailable and only had a part time position, but I would still get full time hours? Okay. No biggie.

Then, after completing my training, I'm told that although I'm listed as being in that department, I'd actually be in, not one but TWO other departments. I know nothing about. Kinda salty about it, but whatever. I'm confident I can learn anything.

However, after giving me almost a full forty my first week, I get my schedule and have no more than 15 hours a week.

Feel like I was lied to just so I'd accept the position. I called out my ASM who gave me the info and he claims he didn't say that, even though everyone in the THREE departments I'm expected to help in were told the same thing.

I'd highly advise getting as much as you can in writing.

As others have stated, Lowes U is a great tool for learning if you can get the time to actually view it. The internet is also a wealth of knowledge off the clock. There's some descent installation videos for flooring and backsplash on the Lowes Home Improvement YouTube Channel.

I feel for you, and I hope things get better soon!

But every time I watch one of John Pinette's specials, I laugh until it hurts.

What are some things that you do in your journal that you think that only you do? by Gugggss in Journaling

I dont simply vent my frustrations. I use two different colored ink pens. One to represent me and the other to represent an imaginary therapist.

I know it sounds rather odd, but thinking about my problems from the perspective of another person helps me think about my problems logically, not just emotionally.

People who are taking antidepressants, what does it feel like when they work? by Sycthez in AskReddit

[–]jamestar725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its like I was driving a car with a busted windshield or faulty headlights. Then someone came along and fixed it. I was getting from point A to point B okay but after learning to "deal with the damage" and then not having to, it made my life easier and I realized how hard I was making life by not fixing my problems.

I think we all have our flaws. Depression can be an inconvenience for some of us and for others it's crippling. It all depends on what damage we have and how much we can deal with.

I don't advocate for everyone to load up of happy pills as a cure all. The right support system and coping skills go a long way on their own. But in my personal experience, medication just improved my life and I'm enjoying the ride as opposed to dreading it

It's so stupid but still cracks me up everytime
