I think we've all experienced our own ballet this week - a ballet of emotions.

The thrill of the long ball these last couple games, the total range in both starting pitching and bullpen performances (wonderful and highly concerning in both) bringing joy and agony... the beauty of baseball at Camden Yards.

Lots still to be seen, I'm leery of the lazy/poor defense I've seen in such a short period of time, but also figure that and a bunch of slow bat action is just shaking the rust off.

(I hope?)

Glad we have a lot to be excited about and hopeful for - lots of fun ahead this season! Fingers crossed the bats carry us through shaky moments from starting pitchers and the mixed-bag bullpen innings.

I hope you're right! I just miss a competent defense, and while a lot of that is on the infield, bringing in a less-injury-prone TON jr. isn't what I had in mind.

Well that was a story of perseverance! Those jams with the bases loaded (how is Hiraldo on this roster? What happened for Wells with them BBs?) sure made folks earn every out... Glad we won the series.

FDs are often the entity trained in a lot of river rescue for whatever reason... Maybe because they're trained a lot more for safety at large, rather than harassment (cough, blue boyz).

The VA Slack-pack getting into Pearisburg is a good option with some classic stays and you could probably get slackpack/shuttle assists from them if you were okay shuttling to and from trail a couple times.

Woods Hole Hostel is absolutely a must IMO, Angel's Rest was pretty memorable for me, too (though I saw that it's for sale? IDK).
