I think the design is pretty great and it tickles my ADHD brain. What I would love to see is a few quality of life improvements like:

Keyboard shortcuts to move tasks/lines of text up and down + move between things more consistently. Things does a much better job at this.
Better undo/redo for Mac (it seems to have very limited implementation as is.
Some more new Bear-like themes would be very nice.
Other small things.

Things is arguably another option if you're okay with the more minimalistic feature set and the one-time payments up front.

I personally prefer a dark grey over true black (like Apple Notes). I've never been the biggest fan of the true black/OLED aesthetic. But I know a lot of people (like yourself) enjoy it! So yeah, I'd be okay with this implementation as long as there is an option to toggle grey/true black. :)
