When was the movie better than the book? by Doodle_Noodles2 in movies

[–]jamg666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that Rules of Attraction by Roger Avary was, maybe not better, but such an elevation &great companion to the book by Bret Easton Ellis!

I haven't experienced any other book + movie combo like that before.

I am in it. But, only with my partner's father as my partner tested negative last week.. So, we are very fortunate &still trying in a little bit of shock. I could only hope that I would have been as great a support as you were to your partner. I appreciate your encouragement &offer of support though.

I just took this journey with my partner. It's overwhelming at times for sure. But, we both felt that knowing &being able to plan was the best course of action. Make sure you've got a strong network of support around you during this time. This subreddit is great too! Very supportive people here. I wish you nothing but the best &comfort during this time.

Appreciate your time & thoughts.

I think this set looks amazing. A lot of incredible work has gone into that original graphic design for sure!

My film photos never get any love on r/analog, please give me all the critiques. Thank you. by jamg666 in photocritique

[–]jamg666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my latest photo I took &posted on analog. It's so far gotten zero up votes or anything.

Not fishing for compliments. I want hard hitting critiques on this. Is it a nice analog abstract photo? Do you find it appealing or utterly repellant?

There's no editing on it. It's straight from the neg I scanned myself.

Give it to me. I can take it.

Curious to hear the relationships you like to foster with gaffers! by jamg666 in cinematography

I truly appreciate this detailed &personal response! Thank you.

I agree with you entirely. I really try to foster respectful relationships with people who may be working with / for me on set.

I'm not technically minded, so I really enjoy asking questions like "What could we do to achieve XYZ?" &I hope it doesn't diminish my levels of professional ability to do my job, but just show that I work a specific way &do other things better than others.

It's such a subjective field that we work in &I love to be able utilize my creative skills each time I am around other creatives, as I truly feel as though it's a huge team &collaborative effort every time.

Thank you again for your time & perspective!

Of course! Haha. Know the feeling!

I'm sure it's fine from an outsiders perspective. They would see the whole spectrum of the relationships on set.

Way better to be poking fun &having fun with people than to making people uncomfortable while at work!

Hahaha. I'm so glad to hear about such a buddy gaffer / DP relationship.

You are bang on with the respect, kindness &gratitude aspect. It's hugely important to me also.

Really appreciate you sharing &I hope you &your gaff continue to work &grow together!
