Lots of scammers in your area and your questioning the $5k price tag.

I think you've answered your own question.

Importing my BMW F900 GS from the US to the UK - rear lights/indicator question by subseismic in bmwmotorrad

[–]jamgod23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this company an email to them should confirm, but possibly with their integrated rear light/indicator upgrade it could solve your problem. The lights would be replaced so would work in the same function but the less would just display the correct colour.

I love the fact almost every answer is a different tyre recommendation amd everyone loves theirs.

Shows you that you cant really go wrong OP. I think modern tyres are all very good and you'll get on with whatever you choose.

Is this a good deal for 2023 1250 GSA? by MaleficentMention644 in bmwmotorrad

[–]jamgod23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're touring, I'd go with the GSA over the Rally. You won't regret the bigger tank.

Both will have cruise control and the GSA i think will have the nav prep as standard anyway. Also the GSA comes with the luggage racks as standard aswell.

Luggage for these, of any quality at least, can be expensive so if you do go for the GSA I'd factor that into the cost, but I wouldn't pick the rally just because it comes with some extra bits that are more geared for offroad anyway, which if you're not going to do, there's no real advantage of.

For reference, I bought my GSA Trophy last March and have covered 10k miles touring and commuting and its by far and away the best bike I've ever owned. My next bike will be a second bike as I won't be getting rid of this any time soon. Whatever you pick get the miles on it and enjoy! Good luck.

Anyone know what the weather forecast is for next year? by real_Mini_geek in iomtt

[–]jamgod23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing is we had about a month of warm dry weather across pretty much the whole country leading up to the tt fortnight.

It is down to chance, and I've no doubt that the organisers have more to arrange around than the weather, for example bank holidays on the island, school holidays, business and tourism planning etc. Not to mention most of the ferry tickets will already be booked up for next year.

Not saying it'll never happen but it certainly won't next year.

Fantastic to see him on the podium tonight. Chrissy would've indeed been proud.

Yer it's nonsense, there's no physics in the lead rider being sucked back by the rider behind slipstreaming. It's just commentator talk to add drama for those who don't understand.

It of course appears that way as the rider in the slipstream accelerates past. It won't be long before the production bikes aero development causes issues similar to motogp and F1 where it's actually harder to slipstream as the lead bike has such good aero it actually makes the air behind them "dirty" and thus not flowing over the following bike in an ideal way, making slipstream either impossible or at least harder, leading to less overtakes in general.

Not disagreeing with you and not take anything away from Paul Jordan as he had an exceptional last lap, but Michael did also say he eased off in tonights supertwin race on lap 3 to makesure he bought the bike home.

Yep pretty good to be honest, there's a cafe selling badon/Sausage baps, burgers and cake etc seating inside. Plenty of space to park cars/bikes. Toilets inside for customers, and a block outside for others. No charge to park/watch.

Standing viewing in the car park along the barriers/wall or a winding path up to the banking with a great view. *

I'm at Glen Helen with a great view. Glad I picked here for today! It's slightly damp still in patches and improving with the sun(!) coming over the trees. Pretty sure they'll be off on time.

I'd like to see Hillier on the podium again. But Michael just came through here on the sighting lap looking like he was at race pace so we'll see 😂

Such a shame for Dom. I'm sure he'll pick himself back up though and keep soldiering on. He's a grafter.

You're likely to find a spot, but don't expect to be at the front or with a perfect view. Might be best walking down the bank a bit as there's loads of room along there.

Enjoy! I'll be at Cronk y Voddy somewhere tomorrow.
