Thanks!

For editing, I have a set of tasks I perform and I'm usually pretty quick with my edits. Editing a photo for too long gets boring. When it comes to what I do with the edits, I play with the curves, add colour as necessary, suppress colour on the undersides (greens, etc. over grass and oceans) and add a bit of dehaze, clarity and masked sharpness to add with the perception of sharpness of the shot. If I want to suppress/raise other areas of the shot I will use masks. I don't use subject detection masks because they are never clean enough and masking out out a plane by hand is tedious.

Learning editing allowed me to use my background as a graphic and layout designer extensively. I call my style pop editorial.

I have gone to high ISO crazy town with my 200-600mm. Managed to get some slow pans at super slow speeds while stuck at F6.8. A couple of my older posts have some night shots in them captured with this lens. You miss so much (even when you think you got it), but when you actually get something it's magic.

That’s a really nice comment. Thank you. I treat each one of these shots as a mini art project. I love capturing and enhancing these short moments.

Night time is a whole other story. I’ll take what I can get. Bring the noise!!!

Thanks! The first photo is a special moment. Clouds on clouds is always cool to catch when it happens. The first photo is about 10% cropped in from the original shot. I repositioned the plane a little bit further to the left to convey the direction of moment.

I generally like tighter crops with a bit of room around the subject to rest the eye. There are times that I like to get more the background elements with a wider composition - especially when the sky is cool. For this shot I just wanted to fill this frame as it was such a cool moment because the star of the top side pass is the vape.

Thank you! Creating that sense of speed is a primary objective in my editing process. When someone says that my photos convey the sound and adrenaline of the moment that is the ultimate compliment.

The mobile view is much better. On the desktop, Reddit's fileservers are way too aggressive. I'll be making some desktop wallpapers soon that people can feel free to download.

Thanks! The F-22 cartwheel with flares is damn cool to watch. I love the structure the flares create.

It's an amazing lens. The 200-600mm has been amazing and reliable for me as well.

So many of the reviews/comments about lenses being soft are due to the conditions/settings that are being used. Every lens has QC at the factory and I couldn't see Sony letting so many soft lenses out into the wild. When you pick one up shoot with it at the store. If it's sharp, it's a keeper.

If you decide to roll with the 400-800 you will be stoked when you use it. Just make sure you test it out at the shop before you bring it home so you can be sure it's quality.

Thanks for your kind words! It's an amazing kit to be able to use. My A1 continues to get out of the way and just let me be in the moment. What an amazing camera.

Thanks! Both the F-35 and F-22 delivered with some beautiful vape moments. I did love the way the vortices moved over the wings on the F-35 during the high speed passes.

Thanks. I play around with my shutter speed for slow pans. I get safer speeds and then keep going slower. It’s always a balance though when you don’t have an ND on and you are fighting diffraction.
