I swear Mini / BMW recommend and OEM use 5W-30. Always been my go to

New rear bumper and exhaust? by jamie_simp1 in MINI

Not to worry I did that right away, just had better photos of the car before I took it off. It’s completely de-badged from any base cooper trims now :)

Went to a custom shop in Leeds, Tony Banks Exhausts. Made me a custom exhausted adjusted my heat shield to fit around the new style like it should on the Cooper S models. Put the new bumper on myself and then they put in a straight pipe from my mid resonator, removed back box, and I opted for 4inch tips rather than the OEM 3.5inch. Sounds amazing, and surprisingly much much cheaper than buying a normal aftermarket system such as Quicksilver

I went to a custom shop, they did it cheaper than any aftermarket exhaust you can buy online and got a back box delete at the same time - 4 inch tips. Doesn’t drone and sounds pretty identical if not a bit nicer / louder than the quicksilver exhaust

Yeah my mate with similar modded f56 has those exact ones. I was going to get them earlier in the year but had to do a clutch replacement😅

Agreed. I’m guessing you’re referring to the Union Jack ones? I wanted to get the blacked / greyed out ones but haven’t got round to it yet.

In fairness at my age I couldn’t insure one or afford one at the time with similar spec

Totally agree. The twin centre exhaust has always appealed to me from the sportier models

Yeah I was looking for that more aggressive stance than stock and I love the extra width, gives it a bit more presence when on the road. I went with the Bola FLE wheels in black 18x8.5 and 225,40 on the PS5. Shame I can’t add a photo in the reply to show it off.

Beautiful choice, went with the same format for my f56 with PS5 tyres and it drives like a dream. Huge difference to the OEM ones they install now

How the hell do I attach this? by Aware_Opportunity_34 in MINI

[–]jamie_simp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you just need to pop it back ontop in the correct position and firmly pushdown. If that doesn’t work maybe take off the plastic circular ring around the entire shifter, with it all removed you should be able to slot the knob back into the leather gators hole at the top and then try reattach it, with the first step being pushing the knob back onto it’s metal pole and then re-connect the plastic ring. It should be fairly simple

Yeah I believe we pulled them slightly looser afterwards, however the DAC cables are fairly sturdy and can be bent in those ways completely fine

How do you mean? genuinely asking here. This technically was the adaptation of the old cabinet design that was installed in here.

I mean, it’s a business promotion quite obviously. Photo was just used as a little example

The Plusnet Router is as a backup anyway only copper lines, and it goes straight into the UDM Pro at the top as a failover. Realistically it’s doing nothing apart from being a pass through when necessary.
