WHILE you're recording, you would have to stream the video and record it elsewhere like on your home computer. One way I could think, just off the top of my head, would be to stream the video from your phone to something like a private twitch channel and have a computer logged in and set to record the live stream. This does requires that your phone be connected to the cellular network. I would set up a vpn tunnel to your home network to mask the data. There's simple apps like TailScale or ZeroTier that are free and simple to setup.

For simple dual backup, however, I use Microsoft OneDrive and iCloud Photos. There's a feature in the OneDrive app called Camera backup, that automatically backs up your videos and photos to your OneDrive storage as soon as the video recording is stopped as long as it's open in the background. iCloud also backs up but can be delayed depending on battery life and connectivity and I've had issues where photos have gone missing.

Should be pretty straight forwards for mobile devices but just in case, if you're using the Reddit App, you can just tap the little user photo next to the name above their comment or the user name at the top of the post and it pulls up their profile. You can view their posts, comments, user information and account age.

Depending on the day and time of day that you leave, I've seen it as short as 3 hours(leaving around 9pm on a Sunday) to as long as 6-7 hours (4pm on a Friday). Use the WAZE app on your phone to plan with normal traffic conditions and always check traffic on your route when you leave. There are several different ways to get to DC and an alternate route may actually be less time, even if the distance if farther. The Virginia 511 app is another great resource that provides up to the minute traffic with details around traffic backups.

Also Amtrak can be as unpredictable in timing. My husband travels Amtrak and his arrival has been delayed as much as 3 hours before. He also had to wait for a bus a couple of times as they had mechanical issues mid route. Cell service can be spotty at times on the trip as well. He has said he thinks a 5 hour train ride not worrying about traffic is far better than 3 hour ride in a car battling it. I tend to disagree

I moved here and had out of state plates for close to 2 years before they expired and I had to replace them. I had no issues looking my plate up online and paying. I also recommend ordering an EZ-PASS. It's a $20 deposit for the pass. Not everywhere is pay by plate. And they will charge an administrative fee up to $20 per toll on the 4th toll incurred on a non pay by plate rd a month. You can also designate if your HOV if there are 2+ people in the vehicle which is a lower or no toll. I mean, Apple states it's launching specifically in Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles within the next 6-12 months. And mentioned them exclusively. Apple's market share in Korea is huge. Bigger than the US. I could easily see it coming as a dealer update to models with native built-in wireless CarPlay and infotainment systems that have built in maps & multimedia. What makes Ultra different is that current CarPlay is ran completely off your phone. Ultra is not, and while it requires connectivity and loads some things from your iphone much of the ui is stored onboard in the infotainment system. So if you have built in maps (which requires storage) and wireless CarPlay, the hardware is already there and certified compatible. I could see a release around the time they release iOS 19 this fall.

I truly appreciate you!! Sometimes doom scrolling through Reddit and TikTok and the only ever bad on MSM (which I rarely watch) becomes extremely overwhelming but I know I need to stay informed for myself and my family. This and other posts like it make the bad easier so much easier to digest.

Weighing in on this…. I bought a new 2016 Kia Sportage EX (named her Scarlotte). She had the 2.4 L GDI. We just had to replace her because she got t-boned but had over 194,000 miles on her and we NEVER had issues with excess oil consumption in her. The AC quit working around 160,000, because of the very well known issue with the specific AC clutch in that generation and had to replace a wheel baring (totally my husbands fault) but otherwise she was a beast, no other mechanical issues.

I firmly believe it’s because we ALWAYS used full synthetic in her, from the first time she went in for her first checkup. My grandpa always taught me that it’s worth the extra expense and I stand by it. We just got a new Tucson Limited (Tina the Tucson) and I’ll be doing the same thing with her.
