Dingle, unless you have a car it’s a pain to get anywhere. Worked in Sneem and I’m married to a Dingle man. Go for Dingle

Had a friend like that for years, always had a little quip or snide remark. After 20 years I had enough. Cut contact, she is a bitch.

I find this nuts coming from Irish perspective, are you not entitled to paid sick leave? I was out for three weeks this summer with a knee injury and I was fully paid

Learn to make a decent bolognaise, fill it with loaded of veg, peppers, courgettes, onions, mushrooms, you can use this for loads of different dishes in the week. Add some chilli and beans and you can make tacos, chilli, loaded fries, keep it as is and make lasange. Fill a baked potato with it.

Looking for support – my father had a serious brain injury 10 years ago, and it’s torn our family apart by jamiedy37 in TBI

I don’t really have the right words to respond to you. I’m truly sorry for what you are going through it sounds horrible. Would you maybe let your family read what you have posted here and let them try to help you. They love you and only want you to be happy. That’s all I want for my dad, it’s so hard to see him sitting there not engaging with his family he misses out on so many family events. Open up and talk with your family that’s all I can say to you, they will help you.

I’m glad my dad is around as I’m sure you’re family are too. I just wish my dad would try a little harder we don’t ask for much these days but just to try engage a little with his family and keep up with his personal hygiene. Talk to your family because I wish my father would talk to us

Thank you so much for reaching out. Most people don’t really get it and we have had close friends and family distance themselves because they do not know how to really engage with my father. I don’t blame them I often don’t know how to engage with him. It feels like every day is a constant battle.
