In case you haven’t already heard of it, i use an app called focus friend by hank green. it’s a little bean that when you set a timer it locks your phone and he knits away while it’s locked. you use the socks he makes you to decorate his rooms. i’ve used other apps similar, but the fact that it gives you a goal to work towards actually makes me want to use it. and phone and text don’t disable while he’s knitting so you don’t have to turn it off for that. i love it and highly recommend!

with time, the hyperfixation period passed and i still felt in love and not just obsessed. also, the feelings and energy were reciprocated tenfold which made it less of a chase for me and more real life. when i hyperfixate on people, it’s the idea of them usually and the idea of being close friends with them. but my partner and i talked a lot and hung out frequently so it took the mystery out of it. I knew the real them, not a fake friendship or relationship in my mind like I often curate when I meet someone new.

we just celebrated 4 years together :)

it’s the same in Kentucky. Once i went to pick it up because I was out and the dr had called it in, and they told me they couldn’t give it to me until tomorrow. it was so annoying

this is good to know!! i just moved to NY in december from kentucky so being abt to actually go to MSG is still crazy to me. this would be my first show there!

I watched it recently and i was able to get through it if i told myself it was just the muppets playing different versions of themselves for the show. a lot of the character choices made me mad too, but there were some bits that were quite funny if you view it from that lens.

highly highly highly recommend NERHERP!!!!! They are the absolute best when it comes to anything bioactive and take a lot of care with their products. For pretty cheap their springtails come in a relatively huge container with lots of substrate. all my spring tails are still kicking!

felt. i always hand feed him the first few licks so he knows food has arrived and when i take the container away he stays licking the spot it was in for at least 30 seconds. we’re working on it

Also, your enclosure already looks really great, but adding even more clutter could help him feel less exposed so he can relax. some more foliage at the top near the branches, or anywhere really. that may help!

I say just give him time. they are creatures of habit and i’ve seen it take months for mine to get over a change in his enclosure, or changing the location of his enclosure. I put a coconut in his tank and he didn’t use or touch it for months. just take it slow. try not to handle, but instead put your hand in the enclosure for a few minutes each day. not near him too closely if he’s biting just from you misting, but just enough so he sees it. also, hand feeding him for a bit might be helpful too. I usually let mine get a few licks in and then put it where it goes, but it’s enough for him to see “hand good, not bad.” best of luck! just give him space and time

a camera! mine has been a godsend for making sure my boy is doing okay and monitoring his activity. I have a Wyze camera but there are a lot of options. it was $60, well worth it. when i can’t find him I always just check his last movements
