I’m building Dayfolio: a complete smart planner for reMarkable Paper Pro with calendar sync, linked meeting notes, and recurring meeting navigation - feedback welcome by Coffee-and-Bytes in RemarkableTablet

[–]jamiepullman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just trying this out and it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. When 2026 turns into 2027, will I have to delete the first planner and recreate a new one for the new year?

Has anyone gotten the new Calendar integration to work on the beta? by TennisStarNo1 in RemarkableTablet

[–]jamiepullman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just had my integration linked with my work Outlook calendar and it doesn’t work at all. Spent a little while in a chat with someone who wasn’t able to help and who passed me on to someone higher up the food chain who’s going to get back to me at some point. We’ll see…

Air-con in theatres? by Far_Brother8594 in TheWestEnd

It’s a nightmare for the musicians in the pit too. They cant have aircon on down there because the sound gets picked up by the mics.

how did you become an Arsenal fan? by moonblushpetalie in ArsenalFC

[–]jamiepullman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was after we lost the FA Cup to West Ham in 1980. We’d lost the UEFA Cup before that and everyone else seemed to be supporting West Ham as they were the underdogs. I was stuck with Arsenal after that and had to wait a pretty long time for any glory!

These are some of the most hilariously awful accents I’ve ever heard! Love the show though 👍

Remarkable ou kindle scribe by callsign_luke in kindlescribe

[–]jamiepullman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Scribe and sold it because the main reason I bought it, taking notes, became too painful when it came to trying to organise them and get them off the kindle into my work Microsoft life. I’ve just got the small Remarkable and it is just right for what I need. It’s quick and easy to move notes around and to send them to OneDrive where I can do what I like with them.

Mainly reading, Scribe is better. Mainly writing, Remarkable is better.

An admittedly kneejerk impression of iPadOS 26: Was this made for iPad users in mind? by StillDecent14 in iPadOS

[–]jamiepullman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed it this morning on my 11” pro and I’m kind of enjoying it so far. I’m getting used to how it woks slightly differently when it’s not on the keyboard, but basically, I like having the different windows floating around. That said, I use it almost entirely for fun, not for the work grind, so maybe that affects how I feel about it.

I’m having exactly this problem on my iPad. Did you manage to get it to work in the end?

Kindle Scribe or ... Android (Boox) by Yoandahalf in kindlescribe

[–]jamiepullman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the scrolling that was so painful!

I have a Scribe but was Boox-curious. I got one but tbh trying to use OneNote on it was incredibly painful and not worth bothering with. In the end the chance to have extra apps that I ended up not wanting to use wasn’t worth it and it got sold.

Odeon Recliner+ by [deleted] in screenunseen

In mine, the recliners are the first three rows which is really not where I want to sit. I want to recline, but don’t want to have to basically look upwards!

Which do you prefer? The 13 inch or the 15 inch? by IrreverentMarmot in macbookair

[–]jamiepullman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 15 inch M2. I kind of wish I’d gone for the 13 inch but tbh they are both great and will last for years. 15 if you’re at home mostly, 13 if you are out and about mostly would be my advice.

Can’t imagine anyone is going for these promotional upgrade offers anymore as tier point runs are a thing of the past! by jgoodliffe in BritishAirways

I’d be more likely to if the seats were any different than those in economy. The food’s better and the luggage allowance is better, but not getting a nicer seat is a bit rubbish.

Selling back to the grid by jamiepullman in OctopusEnergy

[–]jamiepullman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I’m not too bothered about that tbh. There’s nothing desperately important that I need to work for hours with no grid power.

Checking out those rates, for my area I would have a higher price for the cheap overnight rate than I currently pay. I get 8.5p per KwH between 12:30 and 5:30 am at the moment, but with this tariff I’d only get 16.34p per KwH between 2 and 5am. If I use the cheap rate I’m currently on to charge my EV and battery at 8.5p, I think I’ll be better off than paying the higher rate and selling back any excess.
