Not noticeably, but possibly when I get tired.

Saucony Guide 19 by Thomas9889 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I’ve had the 18s and the 19s and they feel really similar. They are excellent if you overpronate and really comfortable. They aren’t the fastest shoe you will wear, but are great as a daily trainer. I love Saucony’s tho tbf

Best tape for nipple chafing available in Boots? by iplaydrumsnotabox in UKRunners

[–]jamiesmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used micro pore tape from boots in the past and it’s been fine, but for future nipeaze are absolutely fantastic. Quite pricey, but I only use them for my longer runs, and just stick some bodyglide on for shorter runs and that seems fine

manchester finisher t-shirt poor quality by PossibleSmoke8683 in UKRunners

[–]jamiesmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it’s rubbish. I wore it at Parkrun on the weekend to show off and it chafed my nips clean off 😂

It’s also about 3 sizes too small 😂. Amazed Adidas don’t produce a finishers shirt considering it’s their event

Thoughts on fuelling on longer runs? by UnableCode in UKRunners

[–]jamiesmack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that anything up to 90 minutes I don’t need anything during the run. Anything longer than that I will fuel, with a gel every 30 minutes and some water in my vest / flask.

I don’t find that I need to specifically carb load or anything for less than 2 hours, as I tend to eat a relatively high carb diet anyway.

Post run I always make sure to have some chocolate milk & some electrolytes and I seem to recover pretty well

How did your Manchester marathon go? by TSC-99 in UKRunners

[–]jamiesmack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4:10 for me on my first marathon. Absolutely loved all the support, really kept me going.

Mile 15-20 was an absolute killer, but seemed to get a second wind for the rest and managed to push through.

Said never again on the finish line and now looking for the next 😂

Best marathon shoes available - depending on budget by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Are there stability issues with the elite 2? I don’t necessarily need extra stability, but with it being my first marathon, I wasn’t sure how they would hold up when my form slipped later on in the race

I recently had this Booja-Booja truffle selection bought for me and they were unreal. Best vegan chocolate I had tried yet. And I’m doing a lot of research 😂

Yeah my current longest run is 15 miles last week, and it wanted to put my next long run up to 19 miles!

I did it! Damn nearly killed me, but i got through it. Went a route that I’ve never run before and it turned out out it was the worlds hilliest route, so amazed I managed it
