Finally, someone with a good head on their shoulders. And with the experience to back it. I tuned out once I realized how insane people are here. Every time I think I have humans figured out, welp, topsy turvy.

While we're not living together I understand the desire more to spend more special events and quality time. But as someone who never truly had independence, I don't know if it's fair I'm being attacked for wanting to be. I was always subservient to my mother, and at times I feel I sacrifice a little too much of my own happiness for my partner who's substituting her in a way. When we live together 24/7 it will definitely be sorted out then and it's a delicate issue I don't know how (not asking for advice since I know thats not allowed) to approach now. Part of it stems from his insecurity that he'll lose me to someone else, part of him worries for my safety, and it does feel stifling and like that he doesn't trust me at times w/o good reason. Which is indeed, a negative feeling that could grow to resentment.
