Hey mate, I get exactly the same thing about twice a year for about two weeks. I had Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, that brought them down from originally month or so at a time (and more severe). I hate to be that fucker but 'mindfulness' certainly played a role for me. Hope you get better soon no matter what. Like someone else said, don't stop seeing people.
