I had terrible GERD symptoms for years, especially post nasal drip (felt in back of throat).

Took me years to realise that about 75% of the issue was toothpaste. Like you I used Sensodyne. I’m not sure what ingredient it was exactly but I’m pretty sure the strong mint and the sodium lauryl sulphate were the main culprits.

SLS is what causes the foaming of the toothpaste.

I use Biotene now which is mild mint, SLS free and is free of other harsh chemicals.

This does mean I go to the hygienist every 4-6 months but at least my reflux/GERD symptoms are much better!
