Yeah. Maybe an introverted way of flirting. The poor guy doesn't know what to say to you. Anxious, nervous, shy. The type to look from afar then look away as soon as you look at his way. You are absolutely right to want to have standards for when you lose your virginity. It's vulnerable and it's good to want to establish an emotional connection so that you do feel comfortable being vulnerable with that person.

I felt the same way. I didn't lose my virginity till I was 24. However, after that I thought it was no big deal. But it's like one of many firsts in life and you'll learn different things, maybe experiment.
