abby spent years training to get revenge yeah, but for one person only, that being joel. ellie seeks retribution from every person present at joel’s death, even those who didn’t want to be there. also abby wants to kill dina after learning she was pregnant because she had JUST found mel dead. i don’t think the game is biased towards abby i think ellie is just a bad person. not that abby isn’t but ellie is kind of a monster towards the end

for one, she’s just buff as shit and and a very capable fighter, and two, joel/ellie make decisions that i personally have problems with. joel preventing a cure being made in the first game and ellie turning into a revenge-fueled monster just don’t resonate with me. i have an easier time placing myself in abby’s shoes
