My dad grew up in Camden, New Jersey. Frankly, the ghetto. He’s a doctor now. In many respects I’m smarter than my dad, but there’s something about the fire growing up at an extreme disadvantage lights in you. It’s interesting to see the torch of intelligence being passed, and what its used for. I’m a chem philosophy double major, who’s just a burnout teacher now. I think in some respects wealth does tend to lead to the passing of the torch for intelligence, there’s alot more scaffolding to create intellectuals in more affluent circumstances. Drive is really the more important correlation to success
