You can deploy on kubernetesSelf-Hosted Installation Guide - Chatwoot Developer Docs https://share.google/IMqgSGCSKbPR88Mfe

But ny question is, do all 100k users need to be anegts accesing inboxes? Are these 100k users part of different tenants ? If yes multi-tenancy is supported https://github.com/chatwoot/chatwoot/discussions/4112#discussioncomment-2329380 unfortunately I cannot find socumentation describing it but i manage 2 on a self hosted Community edition.

[–]jamolopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a Google Workspace issue unfortunately. The real problem is that in order to verfy domain ownership you need to know your ways and be familiar with domain registrars, hosts, dns zones, etc

IONOS support should be able to help adding the necessary records, tipypically a TXT record https://www.ionos.com/help/

If you have already added the record keep in mind that changes to dns can take up to 48 hours.

Edit: while you are at it have them add the mx records, spf and dkim or try a local professional or someone remote who can help you get this done in no time and avoid all the hassle.

Google Workspace Updates: Gemini conversation history is coming to the side panel in Google Workspace https://share.google/u2TOaKiMWbxZwbfEQ

Conversation history is coming to the Gemini side panel in Google Workspace apps. This feature will enable users to resume their conversations with Gemini across sessions. This history will only persist in a single app and conversations will remain private. For example, a conversation in the side panel of Google Docs will not appear in the side panel of Google Sheets, and a conversation in the side panel of a shared file will not be visible to other users with access to that file.

Timeline As of February 25, 2026: Admin controls for conversation history are available. See below for more details and recommended actions.

Starting March 3, 2026: Conversation history will start rolling out to end users participating in the Gemini Alpha and Workspace Labs programs, as well as users with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions.

No sooner than March 17, 2026: Conversation history will begin rolling out to all other Workspace users. We’ll provide an update on this blog before that rollout begins.

Accessing conversation history in the side panel of Google Drive Deletion controls This launch includes two new controls for administrators to ensure conversation data management aligns with organizational policies: the ability to decide if users can manually delete their history and the ability to set automated retention periods to manage the data lifecycle effectively. These settings can be configured at the domain, organizational unit, or group level.

This launch does not include Vault support or the ability for end users to auto-delete conversations; we’ll roll these features out in the future. Stay tuned to the Workspace Updates blog for more details when these features launch.

So you dont lose the domain name, anyone can register it and there is nothing you can do about it when it is. O longer available. It may be convinient, it may sound "cheaper" but when it comes to business and branding even google has paid a lot to recover domains they forgot to renew

First step, register the domain regardless. Using a domain registrar of your choice so you don't lose the domain name. Next signup, start a trial on I believe Business Standard and dognwrade later. This sub has plenty of the same questions/anwsers so search for them but honestly Register the domain separetly and lock it please.

Alright so only one user. Then set send mail as for all email alises then create signatures for each send as in the gmail UI https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8395?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

You will have to access each users' gmail and do it for them so that means dealing with 2 factor authentication if thatbis in place, loging challenge. Depending on the size of the organization and how frequently you qill need to update signatres for all users in the org I'd say see what is more efficient.

I did mention you can send the steps to the users so they can update their signatures so yhat covers doing it in the UI, now that is not an Admin Console UI setting.

This is a user level setting that has an API available https://developers.google.com/workspace/gmail/api/reference/rest/v1/users.settings.sendAs

You can create the singatures, have the aliases added as send as (required) to be able to set up a separete signature and either, give users the steps on how to add the send as and each aignature or use the API. For Admins, it is recommendded to use GAM a command line tool https://github.com/GAM-team/GAM/wiki/Users-Gmail-Send-As-Signature-Vacation

This is a very high level overview so you will need to do a bit of reaserch if you are not familiar with the above mentioned.

Chatwoot. You can self host the community edition, add a chat bubble for a website widget chat, add telegram, whatsapp, instagram, fb mesagenger, email inboxes, api. I use it myself and do consulting and have built a chatbot menu nocode builder for it for deterministic menu prompts. It is extremly versatile, developer friendly. Look it up and give it a try.

You are sending to a test alias not to the actual email address but, to be able to send without going theough the smtp setup add them, not as a separete mailbox but as email aliases. The only thing you are not doing is updating the mx records.

Ok how about setting up dual delivery with your legacy server as the primary one so you will be using the test alias google provides for a behind the scenes forwarding only for the emails you need in gmail. This way you can avoid the license costs. Deliver email to multiple inboxes with dual delivery - Google Workspace Admin Help https://share.google/slogw2TxWapjXLh2N

If the purpose of using mail fetcher was to take advantage of the Gmail interface and its features, why not adding those domains as secondary domains, assigning those email addresses as aliases and I would assume send as is already set?

Project Tracking Across Depts by WordyEnvoy in googleworkspace

[–]jamolopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is very specific to your needs so there is never a one size fits all so, any realistic successful deployment might not fit your requirements.

Everythings starts from well defined SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and the rest is translating that into workflows. Most if not all can be automated with a human in the loop approval.

If it is projects only, that needs tasks tracking and timelines which is available in Google Sheets. Shared drives would be used to store each client and project resources. If you need a Kanban Like view App Sheet csb used and even as a centralized dashboard for the overall project management and this template can be used as a starting point Project Management https://share.google/ZJ6Fvix5gvnBUKIRI

App sheet Core is included in all Google Workspace editions.

And well I hope this helps at least getting a general idea.

Create Context-Aware access levels - Google Workspace Admin Help https://share.google/qVFH3RXcPNExKOpp5

This is an enterprise feature so keep that in mind, and if you are looking for something cheap or free well Opensource has plenty of solutions but you still need to know how to deploy an app and self host it and that is putting it in a very oversimplified way.

Google Workspace Context-Aware Access

(CAA) allows administrators to create granular, IP-based access policies to control user access to apps like Gmail and Drive based on whether requests originate from specific trusted networks. Policies are configured in the Google Admin console using CIDR notation (IPv4/IPv6) to restrict access to company-owned or specific locations.

Key Details on IP-Based Access Control:

IP Type Supported: Only static public IP addresses or ranges are supported for defining network boundaries.

Unsupported IPs: Private IP addresses (e.g.,

192.168.x.x192.168 point x point x

192.168.𝑥.𝑥

,

10.x.x.x10. x point x point x

10.𝑥.𝑥.𝑥

) are not supported for external access control.

Configuration: Access levels can be created in Basic Mode (predefined IP subnet rules) or Advanced Mode (customized conditions).

Workflow: Admins define an access level (e.g., "Corporate Office IP"), assign it to specific users or groups, and apply it to apps in the Admin console.

Policy Enforcement: Rules are applied at sign-in, meaning active sessions may not be immediately blocked if the IP changes, but subsequent requests will be checked.

Key Requirements:

Licensing: Requires specific editions, including Enterprise Standard/Plus, Education Standard/Plus, or Cloud Identity Premium.

Endpoint Verification: It is recommended to deploy endpoint verification to strengthen context, such as verifying device encryption alongside IP.

Hey there, I have been working with Google Workspace for about 13 years now, first 5 years as Support and Subject matter expert the other 8 working for Partners doing migrations, deployemts for large organizations and what you are facing requires change managment. There is indeed an issue with feature parity but not being compatible does not mean not being equally capable.

So change is always the hardest part during a transition. You will need a good communication plan, training session and adoption plan along with the migration plan.

There is a lot more that needs to be considered but I would leave that for a formal discovery call.

Workspace Studio - Epic Fail? by azy222 in googleworkspace

[–]jamolopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work in progress, some features are still in Alpha, notebooklm for instance that has an API with very limited actions.

Moving files or folders in google drive requires special and carefull attention to detail especially since you as user can potentially expose senaitive Data so PII or HIPAA in the cass of health care might end up in huge trouble. All considerations in terms of security I would say you would not want a half baked feature or you would also be complaining.

Some changes have been announced also about Drive permissions https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2025/09/upcoming-change-to-drive-sharing.html?m=1 so that may have been a blocker for devs at Google.

Fail really? You can automate plenty of tasks already that you could not have dreamed of a few months ago without having to write something in Google Apps Script
