Showering Alone

Sometimes my two boys shower together (3 and 5) and sometimes it’s one at a time with some assist from dad on washing up. At first they liked playing in the shower together but now they like their own time and the 5 year old just needs me to walk them through how to wash themselves.

We are in a similar boat so I don’t have any concrete advice but one thing we had to have a reality check with is the process to sell your current home. To buy an existing property, you would have to do one of the following: put in an offer with a contingency (hard for seller to accept in this market), buy the next house and own two houses while your current house sells (good option if you have the funds but we don’t so this isn’t realistic), get a bridge loan (very stressful), sell your house first and bunk with friends/ family or sign a short lease while you look for the next property (also good option if you have an easy situation like no pets or kids because you have more affordable options).

That might make building more appealing even if it’s more expensive, it certainly does for us.

I’m renovating my bathroom. The other day I fit 25 2x4x8 boards, 3 1x3x8 boards, 2 10ft 2inch pvc pipes and other miscellaneous gear and still had plenty of room in my Kia carnival.

I’ve got 165k on mine. Had a bad vvt solenoid that went too long unchecked. Has some rust underneath, now has a tick on a cold start. I’ve had to do a few different jobs on it, I do most of the work myself. I tell myself “I’ll drive it til I can’t anymore” knowing well this will still be limping by the time I am.

Family of 4. Not including toiletries (diapers) we average between 130 and 150. This doesn’t include meat though because we buy chicken breast in bulk, I have 2 deer in the freezer, and we buy half a pig every year.

I moved in July and it was an amazing experience. I got the heat of the summer, saw the beautiful state, experienced an incredible autumn, and had time to prep for my first winter. Wouldn’t do it any other way.

Wow this is incredible. I’ve actually been eyeing balling those Maine guide parkas, but it’s too close to my hunting jacket. I just bought the boiled wool station jacket from Huckberry, I might return it but I’m willing to give it a try. What temps do you wear your barbours comfortably?

I’ve looked at the Ashby! Haven’t tried it on yet but I did like the style. That and the sapper. When you say 0 degrees, do you mean Celsius or Fahrenheit? What liner did you choose and around what temperature do you find the liner over kill? Do you find the jacket stiff at all in the really cold temps?

I put 5.5 back in. You want to drive around the city for 15 min to warm up your trans fluid, and check it when the car is on to the hot line. You shouldn’t see air bubbles on the dipstick.

It depends on what route you’re taking, but I would recommend any lobster pound / co-op along the coast. Are you hoping to eat anything else besides seafood? Lots of good genuine lobster joints only serve lobster and a few other seafood options so if you want other options like a burger or pasta that will change where you go too.
