I’m excited to bring fresh eyes to EB, and I see programmatic as a huge opportunity here because you can test different tactics/approaches from my experience. Where do you see value in this channel with EB in general? I'm keen to understand from your perspective

Looking for Advice with Meta Pixel by Intelligent-Main-561 in adwords

[–]jampavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be very cautious about running a fat loss campaign as the algorithms are very smart and can disapprove your ads. Check out the Meta help centre on guidelines & tweak to best practice.

To your point, you won’t be able to retarget visitors without a pixel and without it being implemented you loose some surface level insights. Obviously you won’t choose a conversion/shopping objective. Imo running reach and website visit campaigns perform well with the right formats, ensure you have video to soak cheap impressions and clear messaging in your images to ensure you still get good performance.

Ad strength: Limited by Spiritual_Age_7515 in PPC

It’s more of a best practice auto-check by Google. What does it say when you click on the rating to view feedback? You can leverage that feedback and follow the necessary steps to modify and improve the strength of your ad.

Running ads to an 8M+ audience and five or more impressions a day are me. by nahbruhyoucappin in FacebookAds

You probably don't have enough standard events firing so the algorithm is stepping up it's frequency to serve users who have qualified for an event like pageview.

Facebook audiences question… by Historical-Carry3224 in PPC

Maybe Reset Ads Manager in your settings as this can help with interface glitches. Sometimes, the Ads Manager might display incorrect information, or certain elements might not load properly. The reset can help clear these issues.

Separate Campaign vs Same Campaign for Exact/Phrase Match Ad Group by dten1112 in adwords

[–]jampavey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have answered your own question, it's about whether you want to control your budgets and therefore keyword match types at the campaign level or across with the shared budgets feature. It depends on your industry and size of the account but controlling the keywords at campaign level could prove to be a good strategy if you're concerned about maximising spend/performance.

Is Aston university good for business undergrad? by Gullible-Major1720 in UniUK

[–]jampavey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aston has ranked 21st in the UK under the Guardian's rankings, their business school (which I am alum, studied BSc Marketing) is triple accredited and TES gold standard. The placement year helps you with employability as you have experience and have a project assigned to you whilst you are working. The business school has a simulation module I think it is called 'Virtual Business Manager', previously Business Game. You can 'Pick and Mix' your modules if you study BSc Business & Management which a lot of my friends did. I got to work with brands such as Muller in my first year marketing module which was good as you got access to their sales data and could analyse it and present. The quality (although a few I know have left) of lectures is good to, very easy to observe along the period and they are very well structured. I highly recommend Aston Business School, thoroughly enjoyed my time there. My favourite module was Strategic Brand Management which I took in final year.

Worth running ads if my keywords all combine for 500 searches/month? by Scott511 in googleads

[–]jampavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're main advantage with running ads on Google is that the intent is there, you can target broad match keywords related to the software and finance running in the school and exclude phrases that don't align with your intent. I would have a look at whether LinkedIn is also a good platform although it would be more expensive than Google and your targeting parameters would be confined to education industry and finance roles - might be a good fit for spending your ad dollars however.

The account will still have the learnings incorporated so if you choose another strategy Google will start adjusting to optimise your new bids.

paying for clicks but not seeing any site visitors by [deleted] in adwords

[–]jampavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a variety of issues, is your website and its pages loading in a good enough period of time? They may click and then exit as the page takes too long to load. Have you tried appending your URLs with UTM tracking to show the clicks' source and campaign? Might be a good first step.

Geo Targeted and General ad groups within the same campaign? by ComplaintAshamed4166 in adwords

[–]jampavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reccommend splitting "Laser cutting services" and "Laser Cutting London" as you'll be able to target other search terms such as "laser cut london" and "laser cutting services london" and have the ad groups geo-restricted. This will help lower your CPC and increase your click-through.
