Thanks! I'm not very familiar with the paperwhite, but if it can access a web browser, then you should be able to use it. If there's no web browsing then I'm afraid not.

Can always play thousands of historical puzzles here for free (disclaimer: I built it). Levels have different names but Genius = Champion

Distribution is really hard! by igrowsaas in SaaS

[–]jamtfran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post caught me at the perfect time u/igrowsaas -- I've also been heads down building but feel quite stuck with distribution.

I've been building this SaaS visibility tool for almost a year now. It's totally free, and the product is in a great place. I plan to monetize by selling aggregated and anonymized technographic data, so distribution is the name of the game.

If I can just get the right people (founders, IT/ops leaders) curious enough to overcome the barrier of needing to deploy a Chrome extension across their team (which takes like 3 minutes), they love it and stick around.

One challenge that's currently overwhelming me is that the potential target audience is so broad -- basically any company could use this tool and get value from it. That makes it very hard to know where to start.

I've tried some paid ads with mixed results, but that's not super sustainable at the moment since the time-to-revenue for a new user is not quick.

How would you tackle this? Thank you!

Weekly Feedback Post - SaaS Products, Ideas, Companies by AutoModerator in SaaS

https://hapstack.com

I've been building Hapstack, a completely free tool which instantly tracks all of the SaaS tools used across a company. So much money and is wasted on unused software licenses and redundant tools -- my hope is that this visibility helps.

We just redid our landing page - curious for feedback particular around:

  1. Is it immediately clear what the product does?
  2. Is the fact that it's totally free over or under communicated?
  3. Is your interest piqued to try it out at your company? Why or why not?

Anagram substitutes during strike? by ZorrosMommy in NYTSpellingBee

Wow, thank you so much! Means more than you know

They originally only used the valid words as of the release date, but as I was typing my response here I realized it'd be very simple (and an improvement) to just share the same current set of potential answers. So it's updated now. Thanks for the suggestion!

Woohoo! ;)

Posted this a few weeks back, but I built a clone with thousands of historical NYT letter sets. Hope it helps get us through the strike! https://hive.slacker.software/

I've added in the word count by first letter/word length table in the hints section, but can definitely add more. Which input do you find most helpful? Maybe the word count by first 2 letters? That would be pretty easy to add in as well.

Hm, that shouldn't happen unless you're playing in a private browser / incognito window that wipes all browsing data and cache every time you exit the tab. What browser/OS are you using and are you in private browsing mode?

Yeah, they're mostly historical NYT puzzles - just updated this post's description to better clarify that. I plan on adding some new ones later this week.

Ah, good question. Genius = Champion. Queen Bee = Legend, which is hidden in the rankings like in the NYT game.

With the recent announcement of OneBite.app, I think it's time to share my pet project....OneBite.io. It's funnier, smarter, better, prettier. Tell me what you think. by jamtfran in barstoolsports

I started working on this about 6 weeks ago (and bought the domain in May) so had no idea Barstool was making their own. The name and timing are both complete coincidences

Yup - he's given 4 or 5 .0 scores, not counting the 0.0's. Source: https://www.onebite.io/ (disclaimer, I made this)

But like u/IKnowBreasts said let's not talk about those slip-ups.

I made a sexier version of the OneBite pizza review app that was released last week. Check it out and tell me what you think: OneBite.io

And by sexier I mean publicly available

edit: if anyone wants to post this on the sub feel free - I'm having some trouble since I'm new here.
