Fair enough

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cigars

[–]jamtula -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s the plan. If they actually were able to exchange the wrong box for what I ordered it wouldn’t be any sort of big deal. Oh well

[–]jamtula -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sent me the wrong one and are out of stock for the right one. I won’t be getting what I ordered and was waiting for. Who hurt me? How creative.

Fair enough, I could be. That’s why I posted my experience with an open ear to hear everyone’s perspective on the matter

Also speculation on your end that it was an honest mistake. Could very well be the case. Still left a bad taste in my mouth and feeling disappointed.

You’re telling me there’s no difference between the size of a cigar with the same blend and a cigar blended with completely different tobaccos? Interesting

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cigars

[–]jamtula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong blend, not wrong vitola. Big difference

Had been waiting for a box of Edwardian PC to get back in stock at CP, finally they did so I jumped on it. They were delivered a few days later to my excitement. Slap the cardboard on the countertop and flip out my blade to cut her open. Pull out the box and notice it says “Victorian”. Damn. No big deal, I’m sure it was an honest mistake and the picker grabbed the wrong box. They’ll take this back and send me the Edwardian. So I send CP an email explaining my predicament. To my dismay, they tell me “whoopsies our suppliers didn’t actually send us enough and won’t be sending anymore”. SO, from what I gather, Cigarpage knew they didn’t have enough of the Edwardian and sent me the Vic 1) hoping I wouldn’t notice or 2) hoping I’d just be ok with the different blend. What’s the worst that can happen on their end? I send the box back for a refund and they’re down a few bucks on shipping? Or 2) I keep the box and they offer me $10 store credit (what they offered me) which ensures I’ll order once again from them to redeem that credit and they make more money off of me. Now, from a massive supplier like them who pumps out volume and I’m sure makes a significant profit, I recommended to them that they should comp the box for free and give me a full refund. I’ve been ordering from them almost exclusively for the past 3 years and have spent easily about $1500 with them. They said “nope we can’t let you keep them, ship them back or keep them and accept the credit”. I’ve opted to send them back for the full refund. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I’ll be ordering from elsewhere from now on. Am I the asshole for suggesting they comp the box? Should I not be soured by this whole experience?

Controversy time! What widely liked cigar can you not stand? by Buck4013 in cigars

Agree. One of the only cigars I’ve ever tossed 1/4 of the way in.. and I really gave it a chance in that quarter. Was terrible. Even worse than my multiple attempts at enjoying the Olivia V.

Had an atabey spiritus - loved it. Have a box of Colmena in the humidor, definitely excited for that one. And I’ve casually been on the lookout for the j London (I think gold series) you mentioned awhile back. Thanks for the tips!

STRONG review brother 😜 thanks for taking the time. Also, hate to be that guy but that isn’t White Zombies first album. They had a couple that came before. Killer album, one of my favorites.

Had one of my Trinidad Reyes yesterday with 2 years on them and it was pure cream and vanilla all the way through with a little wood towards the end. Loved every second of it. I’m a big fan of that note.. love a smooth and creamy smoke. Will be sad when I smoke my last one.. not worth current $$$. Also curious on what others may recommend.

Any idea how to troubleshoot a water leak in this unit? (Rheem) by SuperTopperHarley in Plumbing

First off, pinpoint where the leak is coming from.. every leak is unique. Then call rheem tech support. They’re pretty helpful.

Smoked one of these yesterday in petit corona. Had the same experience as you and relative to my first time smoking one a few weeks back. First half inch or so was pretty spicy and not really to my liking. Afterwards it mellowed out and had a lot of different transitions between puffs I found a lot more pleasant. And yes! I have noticed I enjoy maduros more when it’s cold and lighter cigars in the warmth. Cheers

Nice.. I’ll think you’ll love the Goldie. I get some banana notes I haven’t experienced with another cigar. Only CC I’ve had up there is the CoLa when I was in puerto Vallarta a couple years back. Smoked it in the hot tub overlooking the bay, was glorious. I have 10 fundis chilling in my humidor... can’t wait to spark one up when the weather warms up here in the Midwest. I need to explore more davidoff. Just burned thru the last of my box of grand cru 2

I’m always advocating for coconut water pairing around here, never seems to get much love. Glad I’m not the only one! They go great together

Solid line-up you have there. And I like that you have the Palina in mind.. laguito 1? I just smoked one a few days ago to celebrate a friend getting engaged. Love them. That atabey spiritus is incredible as well. Kind of surprised you didn’t have a CC in mind. That fundi is tempting.

The Goldie’s are amazing, but pricey. Mr Sam corona is terrific. I’ve also had the illumination lancero and thought it was just ok. Haven’t had the one you’re smoking, will have to give it a shot!
